Nope, solid plastic. Kinda wish the slide retracted, like some old GI Joe guns I had as a kid, but whatever. It's pretty detailed though, you can even read "17gen4 AUSTRIA 9x19" on the left, see the takedown level, slide stop, and you can aim down the sights.
