ITT: pictures of your guns
>>32657149
But, that's not a picture of my guns.
>>32657260
>But, that's not a picture of my guns.
Yeah OP; what gives? Those aren't my guns.
>>32657149
I don't own those guns.
Anyone have any experience in making guns? I'm setting up a CNC mill and am considering making something like pic related (without the fancy inlays).
good luck.
>>32657132
You will also need a press, lathe, and a furnace.
>>32657144
I have the lathe and the hydraulic press, but I'm just going to buy the barrels instead of fucking around trying to make them, milling and some turning seems to be all that's required.
> 2017
> not owning the greatest handgun ever made
> not having only 6 bullets, which is more than enough to kill anything that moves
> 1911 and glock fags need not apply
What's your excuse, /k/?
I'm not a mouthbreather is why
>>32657072
I own two Ubertis. What's your excuse?
>>32657226
Clones of the greatest handgun ever made are not good. It's like saying solid snake is as good as big Boss
Do shorter men make better soldiers?
>>32656987
>The only military that would employ black men is America!
>>32656987
Why are Chinese so shit at warfare?
>>32656987
>less calories
>smaller target
>fit in vehicles better
find a real flaw
There isn't one, it's that 9mm is cheaper and just as effective whilst having more capacity.
>>32658738
This. No point in getting .40 when +P 9mm exists
>>32656832
more recoil and less capacity than 9mm without the power gains of .45 acp
What is the ideal calibre to go with for a target/hunting setup?
>260 Rem
>6.5 Creedmoor (is this a meme round?)
>7mm-08
>308
Above is what I'm considering so far.. ideally want something with a good BC. For my purposes, I'll probably be using the rifle for 60% target shooting (some long range) and 40% hunting. I don't see myself hunting anything bigger than deer. Not including .243 because it's too much of a barrel burner. Also if it matters, I'm in Canada
.308 VEPR with a holo sight
>>32656661
Would you consider .300 Win Mag as overkill? I really like that round.
Also maybe .270 would be nice.

was wondering why don't swat cops wear full body armor like the bomb disposal folks wear?
picture related the bomb disposal suit
Because bomb suits are neither good at stopping bullets or stopping bombs you retard.
>>32656641
Becuase those are shrapnel suits, not bulletproof armor. Kevlar type weave that might be enough to stop small pistol rounds, if even that.
Because swat cops dont defuse bombs, so why would they want to wear all that sweaty bullshit? You know it doesn't stop bullets and only makes a definitely fatal explosion potentially survivable, right?
Noguns here, In the (unlikely) event that your AK fails to fire, what is the best way to give the mag a tap before you rack the bolt?
As the mag retention is different than an AR's, would it still be the better to hit it on the bottom (black arrow), or would it help more to hit from the front (red arrow), which could help with ensuring the mag is tilted into place?
Again, I'm a noguns, so I have no experience with AKs, and there are no videos I've been able to find on type 1 malfunctions, only type 3's.
Assuming you've made sure all your mags rock into place easily, just grabbing it, and giving it a secure pull back like the red arrow with a slight push forward after to ensure it seated would suffice. There should be several videos on the subject on youtube. Now go, learn, and next time maybe try a QTDDTOT thread if one's up.
>>32656462
You need to clear the chamber before fucking with the magazine.
Pull the bolt back and observe a round leaving the chamber on the first failure to fire.
Let the bolt ride forward and reengage.
If your rifle still doesn't fire, pull the magazine, slam that sucker on your helmet to make sure your rounds are seated, insert it back into the mag well, rack another round, and reengage.
If your rifle still fails to fire and your bolt action is not hindered in any way, then you're going to need to field strip that shit or check to make sure that your ammo hasn't gotten wet or something.
>>32656529
I also forgot to mention that if you don't observe a round leaving the chamber when you first try to clear it or your bolt is stuck, then you're going to have to some advanced field clearing...
..and by that, I mean slamming your rifle into the ground stock-first while desperately shoving the charging handle toward the rear in an attempt to unseat the stuck round.
If you're not getting shot at, though, you should probably just break out the barrel rod and give that a try before ruining your zero.
Trump's inauguration will be a gun-free zone.
But the next day, the Trumptards will tell us we're only safe if we all have guns everywhere. One of you Trump supporting geniuses want explain?
https://www.yahoo.com/news/high-security-over-truck-attacks-trump-inauguration-015531159.html
>>32656399
I can explain that I will be drinking your tears for the next eight years.
K senpai
Secret service makes the rules there, not Daddy.
We need guns everywhere else because not everyone has the literal fucking secret service watching their backs 24/7.
Any of you have any experience at making synth diseases? I feel like overpopulation is getting a bit ridiculous, and I heard we'd have a pretty stable world economy if the population dropped by %30. Any of you know how to make a disease? What's easier, bacterial or viral?
You aren't the usual ATF man
>>32656339
Maybe the CDC decided to see what the anonymous hacker known as 4chan was up to.
>>32656326
>synth diseases
>synth
>overpopulation
>%30
Read the rules next time.
Why are pretty much all new guns today gas operated?
Actions like the good ol' HK one seem like they'd still be very serviceable today - accuracy's good enough, reliability's great, manufacturing is easy.
Fancy feature wise, the G41 reached parity with the AR-15 such as bolt hold-open and stuff.
Furthermore, where the fuck are all the G41 copies?
>>32656088
>reliability's great
When the rhodies traded their fals with G3, the soldiers didn"t like it a bit due to being unreliable and stuff
>>32656198
Really? The G3 generally has a better reputation in terms of reliability than the FAL. It inherently is a rugged thing because of how damn violent the action is.
>>32656198
Brand new FALs and L1A1s versus old African G3 clones.
I just realized my 1933 izzy mosin has a bolt made up of izzy, tula, and remington parts. is this the reason it's haveing a stuck bolt?
>Remington parts
pics of markings
also no
completely disassemble the bolt and soak it in mineral spirits and clean out the receiver real good with spirits too
>>32656055
The bolt head is Remington
Bolt body is Tula
and the rest is Izzy
(sorry for the shit iphone pic)
>>32656023
Stuck bolt as in takes a decent amount of force to open or you need to give it a god whack with a block of wood?
Wilson Combat or Nighthawk Custom?
Which one and why?
when will the 1911 meme die?
>>32655972
Why are 1911s so popular? Is it just an aesthetic thing or what?
>>32655988
It's just a long-standing part of American culture, like Apple pies or Chevy
So, here we have 2017 - so where are all the fancy pants Future Soldiers with big futuristic guns?
>>32655536
Hillary didn't win so we have no reason to mobilize for war with Russia. Expect more naval enhancements as Trump gears up to embargo China
We have it. Pretty much everything from the land warrior program is standard in some form or another, it just isn't fuckhuge like they thought.
All we have IRL is just some COTS smartphones?
4 new interested people so far!
