Prohibition / Great Depression
Is there any military advantage to steel-cased ammunition, or is largely just a cost savings measure?
>>33122220
Cost savings is a military advantage.
>>33122220
Steel is much cheaper and more abundant than brass; especially for something nobody is ever going to reload. This is also why military guns used to load from stripper clips even if they had removable magazines. Simple stamped clips are cheaper making extra (relatively) complex magazines.
If the enemy cant reload you steel all good stuff.
Cheaper.
Lighter than brass
Cheaper.
Can make in green or grey thus making it hard to find inawoods
Cheaper
Name a better fire arm than the Desert Eagle.

Alright /k/ the night has come, some dudes just broke into your house but they have no idea that you have been wishing this for years. Here's how it goes.
>BOOM, BOOM, CRASH
>you dawn whatever operator gear or sexy lingerie you have
>you have had the drop on them for years so you take your sweet ass time
>you have a full-house surround sound system ready to go
>you close all of your hidden blast doors so there is no way out
>burglars are trapped
>you start the smoke machine
>you start the strobe lights
>you turn on your music at full volume
>you get sadistic
>you go and have a fun fight
What song is playing while you have this clearly one sided battle?

So this gun is basically for pocket/ankle carry only? I can't see any reason why you would wear it in an IWB holster.
I keep a Seecamp in my panties just in case a nigga tries to get uppity while I'm dropping a deuce.
>>33121163
That is my edc iwb.
I live in a hot climate and rarely where a jacket. I also live in a low crime area, so I don't feel I need to carry my Beretta.
the p3at is far more comfortable. I usually don't even notice it is there.
>>33121163
you need a really really small gun, and you don't have pockets and are wearing shorts.
So...a workout gun

Does utilizing the double action feature on a Beretta require pulling the trigger and laying the hammer down on a chambered round? That shit scares me.
>>33120862
Use two fingers on the hammer when letting it down and it makes things a million times easier.
Beretta safety is a decocker. Switch it to safe and back.
It's also really easy to thumb down a hammer, don't be a pussy.
No. It has a decocker on the slide.
What's K's opinion of the Mosin Nagant?
Are they garbage or worth having around?
A rough but reliable tool, or a crude piece of trash?

>A rough but reliable tool, or a crude piece of trash?
These are not mutually exclusive.
>>33120847
They're a rough, crude, reliable piece of trash tool.
>>33120847
It's the garbage rod. If you can have it for <$150 then sure, enjoy your memes. If not then don't bother.
Well /k/ I may have just royally fucked up. I was fucking around and removed the crossbolt nut on my 91/30. I looked on some gun forums and apparently I probably shouldn't have done that because it could crack the stock. My question is how do I know if its back on tight enough?
>>33120479
bump
Take it to the range? If it walks itself out tighten it more. repeat.
>>33120535
if the crossbolt isn't tight enough couldn't the stress of firing it crack the the stock? I'd rather not have to put a synthetic or aftermarket stock on it.

G36 Scandal.
Does anyone actually believe the whole scandal that the G36 was an inadequate gun? The whole basis for the replacement was that the gun's largely synthetic design had inherent flaws, especially in arid environments. While the government had been repeatedly hammering the blame on the gun's design and even manufacturer of ammunition, the gun has seen widespread success export-wise as far as Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and even with special forces of several countries (units that need highly modular and reliable rifles).
Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to talk to anyone who has tried out the gun, former German service members, etc.
Hence I was wondering if there truly are substantial defects in the gun? Government-military industrial corruption? Or maybe this is a good thing as Germany could potentially get a better service rifle?
>>33119991
G36 is fine if it's made to spec. Some of the G36's sold the Bundwesher where made with substandard polymer.
>>33119991
A lot of guns have early models that have glaring issues, but usually it gets fixed in later models or modifications. Some notable examples are nearly every gun in existence.
>>33119991
Had a buddy stationed in Germany for awhile who got to try one out. He always sung its praise over the m4. I know it's anecdotal, but it's all I got.

If I buy one automatic Knife on eBay or Amazon, would it be delivered to my hotel?
Also,
I would rather sent it here where I live but if I get it from the sites above the Knife will just get 60% tax on including the shipment (wish is bullshit).
I'm thinking about a Boker Kalashnikov.
I'm afraid this will be taken in the airport (Arriving...)

If someone knows somewhere that I can find it and can send it as gift (so I don't pay the 60% fee), would be great.
Thanks.

So has anybody ever shot a Glock built on a Timberwolf frame or tried the Lone Wolf adjustable trigger? I've got a love/hate thing going on with Glock and this thing looks like it might solve all my problems.
Polite bump. Genuinely curious.

There's 8 of them so likely not.
