How did the SKS perform against US troops that were using the M1 during the Korean War?

Which one was the better rifle?
108 posts and 11 images submitted.
>>
>>33091528
It's hard to imagine the m1 being the better rifle. The sks features make it a lot handier, lighter, and easier to use all around.
The difference would be that US troops were actually trained well.

Good start. Got to master the bolster making though so they'll sell like hot cakes. Would still buy those to beat on daily.

Side related note. Fairly new to flicking Spyderco knives and already this blurple one owns me for life.

Spare mag goes in change pocket. What I carry during the week.

>Glock 17 Gen4
Weekends if I am inclined to carry it instead of LCP. HD weapon behind AR. Buddy got me RCS holster for it. Retention is kind of shit. Might replace with Armordillo for use with TLR on other guns or dedicated Incog or TRex Arms

Ordered some Blue Force Gear 10speed belt mounted mag carriers. I have some Kydex double mag carriers, generally unimpressed.

I use VTac operator belt

What does France actually expect to use this thing for? And against whom?

I'm genuinely curious. They're not bordered by any hostile countries and all of the real action happens in post-colonial hellholes that don't have any tanks anyway.

Was it all just to sell them to the arabs?

Its like the kids joke, what's the last thing to go through a bug's mind when it hits your windshield?

His butt.

that thing implodes in nanoseconds. The massive pressure changes would instantly render the squishy occupants into puddles of gelatinous goo.

Never work in a machine that can kill you if they don't take the trash out right.

So long as the part you were in actually crushed.

Enfield s weren't blued, look up suncorite
>>
>>33116245
Suncorite wasn't in use till the 1930s, Anon.

Had a car broken into a few months back. Several thousands of dollars in gear stolen, included was an ar15. I wasn't taking any security measures to prevent this, and I wanna change that. What are some ways you secure long guns in your vehicle? I'm looking at using steel cable and pad locks, but I'm open to other ideas. Some sort of container or box that I could secure other gear in would be great as well.

One of my many mini life goals is to have a set of full body armor thats at a minimum useful in a small riot situation for the microscopic chance that i have to defend my home or business, or more likely if i just want to look cool at four in the morning while i wait for a frozen pizza to cook.

How would you design modern riot armor with a samurai aesthetic, and what kind of materials could i use?

I'm a decently skilled DIY kind of person so im looking for stuff that can be manufactured in a workshop environment and doesn't need special manufacturing.

Read up on people trying to make ballistic armor by themselves. It's really really complex and will probably never reach a level where it's actually useful against guns.
So if you just want regular armor that looks like something japanese... you should be able to do decent reproductions of that. Guess you could find decent steel to make the lamellar plates from.

the founding fathers didn't envision the "gibbmedat" welfare state enticing natives from south of the border to create warring factions of young men or a bunch of freed slaves choosing a life of crime over productive work because they get more respek.

also

back then the bad guys only had a single shot weapon as well, so you were on equal footing. today the bad guys have semi auto pistols, and unconstitutionality aside, limiting good guys access is retarded,
