I won't think this is what they had in mind 150 years ago.
nsfw

Yeah, if they knew sweaty man-children would be masturbating to cartoons society would probably have collectively given up.
Actually this is a misconception, anime was very much in vogue 150 years ago, by way of political cartoons.
What position do you guys have your right ankle in in the kneeling position?
The one that doesn't hurt.
>>33124465
They all hurt.
>>33124459
Trying to insert my heel into my anus. Worst firing position.
>>33124475
You are fat and unstretchy.
I made a camo pattern with MS Paint. What mind?
Now do one made of dragons.
>>33123983
I think the bright green is too bright
>>33124002
I took all the colors except black straight from a photograph of a spruce woods and made a little comparison from which colors were the most common. And it gives some contrast.
Is this your new wet dream /k/?
>>33123695
a SCAR that's not chubby?
sure
>>33123695
Bit of a meme gun, but a fucking amazing collector's piece nonetheless. I don't really understand why HK developed a rifle to phase out the still fresh HK 416, but if it's following the same trend, it should be an amazing rifle. Unnecessary for the German military, but amazing.
>>33123756
not really to phase out the 416, France just ordered like 120,000 I think.
It's to replace the G36, as 416 is too expensive for German army
Is there a more terrifying round than this?
There's no way in hell they'd get all those little shards out of you
>>33123673
What is it?
>>33123691
A glass slug with a screw in it
>>33123692
how does it not shatter in the gun's barrel when fired?
I would like to start hunting, as I believe it is an important way to stay connected to nature, an maintain balance in the ecosystem. I have never been hunting before, and would like some help getting started. I have already read all rules and regulations regarding hunting in my home state (Oregon), I go camping often in many different situations so I am mostly covered on camping gear, and I have a decent size firearms collection. I also have friends who go hunting, and I was going to ask if they could take me and show me the ropes. That being said, I have some questions.
To start off, is 308win enough to kill a black bear humanely?
I was told I should get waders for hunting waterfowl. What to look for when buying waders? And brands that are often recommended?
>>33123215
yes. I dont like it, but people hunt black bear and moose with bow...
I'm sure this has been a thread before, but do any of you guys have a Baofeng shortwave radio and what do you use it for?
Tempted to grab one just as a police scanner, but has anyone used one beyond that function? I keep seeing it brought up in relation to SHTF scenarios, is this because you can broadcast on multiple bands (assuming the airwaves aren't jammed and the FCC isn't dispatching deathsquads after a societal collapse)?
Will the FCC triangulate on my location if my brothers and I dropped down to 1 watt and used them on FRS channels on our hunting land? Is a GMRS license worth the $65?
I'd appreciate a quick rundown
>>33123190
Short rundown.
>It's not a shortwave
>It does not function as a police scanner unless you local departments aren't already on digital trunking.
The rest you can learn with google.
you can listin to the police on a app for your phone dont waste your money this thing is pointless

Canada here
We use these in low power mode on large map woodsball matches (paintball rough-mil-sim).
The team with good radio coms always wins.
Why are there no rounds that produce over 65,000 psi?
What engineering hurdles are there if you were to produce a round with 85,000 psi?
http://www.handloads.com/misc/saami.htm
>>33123091
You can't make cases that strong. Even new stronger alloy cases top out at 65000, and there's no reason to go higher. Unless vibranium becomes a household item it'll stay that way. Who needs pressures that high anyways?
>>33123129
Steel cases aren't strong enough? Why not make thicker brass cases?
>Who needs pressures that high anyways?
Generally an increase in pressure is associated with an increase in muzzle velocity/energy, which most rounds could benefit from.
>>33123129
What if you go caseless?
>>33123167
Rudimentary physics tells me that the muzzle energy increases linearly with pressure, P*s=W
When do you realistically expect to see the militarization of space?
What do you expect space combat to look like?
Treaties dont last forever...
>>33122882
It's currently too expensive to be fighting in space. So, not in the near future.
In 50 years at the most.
Technically we already have with satellites.
It's exciting and terrifying.
>look at what we've done in just the last 50
Space has already been militarized with vast amounts of reconnaissance equipment, the next step I expect is an actually working 'star wars' ABM system
Does a suppressor have to actually be attached to/touching a weapon to require a stamp?
>>33122671
No.
The suppressor in and of itself is the controlled device.
>>33122671
no. you need the cuckstamp to purchase the supressor by itself.
this photo makes me think of trees and sound change
Did /k/ buy the Px4 Compact Carry yet?
>>33122466
I wanted to, but then I remembered that I already have like a hundred of them
>>33122547
holy fucking shit you just made my entire night
>>33122466
It don't got the spinny, I need the spinny.
Chopper in the neighborhood doing whatever the other afternoon. Got me thinking, could you hit a hovering helicopter with your rifle?
>>33122345
>Could you hit a hovering helicopter with your rifle?
Yeah probably.
>>33122477
oh okay, thanks.
>>33122543
Just depends how far away. 400 yards? If you're dialed in correctly, sure.
http://archive.is/K4Y3u
This one right here.
It seems /k/ approved, but does it hold up?
>>33122741
why is that?
>>33122813
reasons
>>33123526
can you give me a list of reasons as to why?
i have a decent shop at my disposal, and want to build a semiautomatic gun in 9mm, akin to a Sten gun or similar. i have several "Practical Scrap Metal Arms" pdfs which for legal purposes dont show the firing pin. I'm from burgerland and have no criminal record, so building a semiautomatic gun is completely legal if i follow the firearm laws, correct? Then why is it that no plans available show how to fully build the bolt with a firing pin, and what resources can i use to learn how to make a working gun?
Remember that it can't be open bolt or your dog is going to get shot.
>>33121779
Or if you do make an open bolt sub gun you might as well make it full auto and never tell anyone. Not like the ATF are telepaths, they just go after dumbasses that advertise that they have unregistered automatic weapons.
>>33121793
i definitely want to keep it legal. odds are i'd never get caught but nothing is worth risking my sweet ass in federal prison
