Hi /k/, what else would you recommend for my nonfiction collection?
As you can see I am particularly interested in the history of covert crimes of state, the so called 'deep state' as Peter Dale Scott has called it, the modern day dirty wars conducted from afar with drones, and a bit of classical history
Xenophons Persian Expedition is in my to read pile, and I am thinking of getting Bob Parrys Lost History
Not exactly what you're asking for, but here's some suggestions for non-fiction /k/ books:
Reality (or claimed to be):
Dear Mom: A sniper's Vietnam - Good
Chickenhawk (slick pilot) - Very good & sad
Making a killing (awesome PMC adventures) - Extremely recommended
Escape from Baghdad (PMC adventures the sequel) - Decent, not special
A long way gone (child soldierin') - Decent
The forgotten soldier - Timeless operator classic, must read
Storm of steel - Timeless operator classic, must read
SOG (americans owning & getting owned) - Educational
Acceptable loss (more Vietnam LRRP & Blue Apaches) - Good
Shake hands with the devil (UN ROE suck balls) - Educational
On war - Educational but overhyped
War is a racket - Interesting
The art of war - Classic, but mostly blatantly obvious
We Were Soldiers Once, And Young - Joe Galloway and Lt Colonel Hal Moore
The Killing Zone - Frederick Downs
Grunts: Inside the American Infantry Combat Experience, World War II Through Iraq - John C. McManus

On Combat and The Gift of Fear are both good.
Shadow Warriors by Mir Bahmanyar is a history of the Rangers which is interesting but somewhat colored by the author being one. Still a good overview.
If you like medieval history then I suggest Angels in Iron by Nicholas C. Prata. It is a fairly good history of the siege of Malta.
Why doesn't a company just remake the Luger? Wouldn't people buy it?
It would be like $400 or something retail right?
Too complex to manufacture and make a profit.
Modern guns such a Glock and other use polymers and stamped parts.
I suppose if there was an efficient way to make them, they'd turn a profit.
I dunno about a luger, but I'd kill for a toggle lock rifle like a pederson.
>>33111754
Reproductions of a luger would cost more than an actual luger, with the added detraction of not being a piece of history.
What do the U.S. military contractors have in store to offer President Trump? Im under the impression he wants to update our military. What do you think is in store for our troops as far as small arms, armor, transportation, etc. or maybe you think it will be more of the same with no real noticeable change?
I don't see pic related happening

No more shitty, overly expensive ospreys
Well, the US should totally abandon all transport helicopters/planes
They are a huge pointless cost. Rapid transport of light forces is irrelevant in a real war.
Build hundreds of fast nuclear powered cargo ships instead.

What is the dumbest beginner mistake you have ever seen someone make with a firearm?
Usually the ol muzzle sweeparoo. I try to drill it in their head whenever I take a new shooter out, but mankind doesn't seem to possess the "keep that shit pointed downrange" instinct.

Are monkey fists a meme? I just made one like pic related with a big ass marble to see how much it would hurt and it doesn't seem like it would be more incapacitating that your average punch.

Are you 12?

Looks like some kind of hybrid sex toy.
Wouldn't a rebar be better at this shit if you can't just get a gun?
It depends how they are made and how they are used.
Personally, I don't like them. And that's coming from a Kubotan-fag.

How could you do that to your own brother? It's not like he was ever going to reenter North Korean politics other than snide remarks. It's just a bad look.

That I'm sick of these threads.

Contrary to popular belief it doesn't indicate poor taste, but rather a lack of taste.

it appears so. turned himself in, but not sure if officially charged. they would have stated "for questioning" i think if that was the case
Hi /k/,
I bought pic related for a decent price a few months back. I'm more of an AK and rifle guy and tend to think of pistols as last ditch/bump in the night pieces. Are these worth a fuck? All opinions appreciated. I'm not sentimental.
They are fine. it may be worth it to you to get an APEX sear and polish the drop safety plunger thoget rid of the gritty pretravel...
>>33115198
just get a trigger package and its golden
I keep hearing about the Apex parts. I also hear that the M&Park triggers are ass but this one doesn't seem too bad?
But hey, if the trigger can be reliably improved then why not?
Does Great Britain have guns shows or is it a butter knife trading festival?
>>33114588
>butter knife trading festival?
You have to be over 18 to buy those on air strip one so probably not.
Nation is beyond cucked. Let them go.
Does America have glorious military parades celebrating the defeat of Nazi Germany or is it a apehoop waving to people while standing on top of a truck festival?
We have them in Northern Ireland. I have been to two in England, both were part of larger country shows.
They attract the same level of lunatic that attend gun shows in America, but are only slightly less fat.
>Extreme slopes
>high caliber gun
>tiny as fuck sillhouette turret
>no MG weakspots
>Engine protected as much as the front
Best tank of WWII, hands down.

I wasn't aware that the Czechoslovakians could time travel from 1970 back to the early 1940s.
And this improvised armored vehicle isn't even a tank, it was built on a East German car frame and the turret and its gun are fake.

/brg/ Battle Rifle General
Heavy barrel edition
I picked up a metal trigger housing for my PTR and it's just shy of fitting properly, do these need fitting or is it just Ruger Mark series tight?
What does /brg/ think of tacticooling battle rifles?
