So we agree that shotguns are the best firearm a man can own in a real life scenario.
REAL LIFE means the everyday situation when a gun could be needed both for defence and food bringer, with the former hopefully once or twice in a lifetime or else you're living in a big fat shithole
ANYWAY WHY SHOTGUNS ARE GOAT
Cheap, powerful, easy to operate and maintain, some of the simplest mechanics are used, can shoot a cloud of pellets of a big fat over .70 caliber chunk of lead, the most flexible weapon/none (probably only knives can be more flexible) comfortably accurate up to 100 yards which is plenty for any real life need, ammo is plentiful, cheap and even can be hand loaded with minimum skill and equipment, ability to make cut shells if need arise in a pinch, easy to clean and a quality gun with a chrome lined barrel would last a lifetime
Cons, no penetration on hard targets with conventional ammo, extremely bulky and heavy ammo, relatively heavy recoil with any load

Let's say you're carrying a gun on you,but a mugger gets the drop on you and you give him your wallet at gunpoint, and then when he turns around to leave you draw and shoot him in the back. Are you now totally fucked legally? Or could you argue that for all you knew he was going to change his mind and turn right back around to get rid of you? Does this vary by state? i'm having trouble finding concrete answers.

Anyone here ever served or know anyone that served on the USS Constitution? I know it's crewed by active-duty sailors. Wikipedia claims it's a "special duty" but I can't decide if this is where they stick people with great track records and a love of history or complete fuck-ups who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a modern naval vessel where they can screw things up.
From what I've heard from a few Navy buddies, honor guard is where they stick perpetual retards, so it stands to reason that USS Constitution duty would be the same.

They technically have authentic cannons, but there is a 40mm signal gun inside of them.

Hey guys, what are some good tv shows to binge while getting drunk and dry firing for hours at a time?
I've recently completed a re-watch of justified and I'm meandering through TWD.
I'm mostly interested in non-war pistol gun play or possible apocalyptic stuff.
You know stuff that has a wide variety of arms and isn't criminally negligent with how they are handled.
(I know TWD is criminally negligent but at least there's a plethora of arms and accessories)
I tried that TV show shooter and it was hot garbage.

I am currently building a Tiger 2 1:35 scale model and I'm on the fence about it's side skirts, I was thinking of damaging them by heating some parts and then bending them with the dull end of a knife.
But could the tiger 2's side skirts actually bend due to a collision or something? Are there any historical photos you guys have that maybe can leave some evidence or something?

I think that was actually just fenders on Tiger Is to cut down on dust where it was actually schurzen on Tiger IIs. I've never seen pics of the schurzen on Tiger IIs bent, only missing. Seems like it would be very resistant to bending because its quite small and would be very stiff.
