>there are people who buy Mosins, SKS's, Mausers, etc and put them in Crapco stocks or even abominations like OP's pic

I don't understand. Why would you buy that garbage when a surplus stock in good condition costs all of ~$35?

Someone please explain this concept to me. You are moving about in the darkness, possibly going to meet an armed opponent. Why on EARTH would you want to reveal your exact position by prancing around with a light? Not even baiting here. I just don't get it.

It's good to know where you're shooting at. Most people don't like blindly firing their weapon.

Also you don't just turn it on and leave it on while you're moving around.
>>
Is it posible to get a light that turns on at a horizontal angle, and off at a vertical angle?
>>
>>33185523

I do see the usefulness of a flashlight. And of seeing the target. I am just saying that unless the target is lying whimpering on the ground five feet away, you are in more trouble than the target while the flashlight is on. Also, the weapon lights I have seen so far has the functional range and strength of an oil lantern and the battery longevity of a pocket fan.

I stopped caring about literally everything related to infantry gear or weapons once I did my military service

I realized 95% of war is just surviving

You have to walk for miles without hurting your feet and back or else you will be crippled for some days

You have to endure the hot (you can pass out) and the cold temperatures (you can lose a finger)

You have to stand the lack of sleep and being tired all day and being surrounded by other men (some of them will tell you what to do and what you can not do)

Once your clothes go wet (rain or sweat) you will need an entire day to make them dry again

Murphy's law works 100%, you may suffer things such as:
>your bottle of water opened in your bag
>you forgot to throw a banana of your bag and it ruins the other food
>your map or compass falls to the floor but its night and windy and you lose it

And if once you've gone through all of this, now you are fighting the enemy

and in this moment you don't give a fuck wether you have some autistic gadget on your gun rail or not

Ahhh yes, the suck! (Not to be confused with the succ, but we'll touch on that later.) What you my good man are describing is "the suck." It sucks doesn't it? Well that's where it gets it's name. Anyway, there are a few things about the suck you've clearly missed, and I'll now point them out in detail. The first thing about the suck is that once you've met it, it doesn't go away. The second thing about the suck, is that it only gets worse. The final thing about the suck, you'll miss the original suck.

The suck doesn't go away, so now you'll find yourself feeling the same suck, progressively creep into the rest of your life. Every, fucking aspect, will begin to fucking suck.

I said it gets worse didn't I? the suck is a progressive mental disorder. Once you've identified it, it just begins to add up. Things you used to enjoy will begin to become tedious. you'll try and keep doing them for that feeling you've once had for a hobby, but it's dead. There's no point, so just let them go now.

Now for the big fucking kicker, you'll miss the original suck. The suck you've just described, the suck of when you were a "badass" and life had challenges and difficulties to "just make it through." This is why you hear a lot of people who get out say, "I kind of miss that," even though you'll be fucking confused as to what they could possibly mean.

Long story short, you're broken now. you'll always have the suck, it won't go away, and you'll miss when it actually sucked. Have a frog, and drown your memories in beer.
>>
>>33185350
can you counteract the suck with the succ?

In a combat situation, are karambits just a meme knife or are they better than a conventional combat knife?

meme knife, horrible at stabbing

best combat knife, in my opinion is a bayonet
>>
>>33184891
It depends on how you are trained to fight and which you are more comfortable with. If you are asking if the karambit has some sort of meme magic making it the ultimate combat knife, the answer is a definitive "no".

Are modern nuclear missiles built to be stealthy?

Are they easily trackable when launched? Because intercepting them with tinier nuclear missiles sounds easy.

>>
>>33184687

ICBM's have three main parts: the rocket, the warhead bus, and the warheads.

You can't make a rocket stealthy. It's a giant metal tube with a fireball shooting out of one end. Tracking them and shooting them down is easy, if you have the radar and missiles set up close enough to reach the rocket in time.

The bus can't really be made stealthy either, for the same reason the rocket can't, and you can tell where the bus is pretty easily because it is carried to its terminal location by the unstealthy rocket.

The warheads can be made stealthy, and modern ones are. They are also accompanied by countermeasures and decoys that make it hard to shoot them down. The reason why the warheads are stealthy is because they're literally thrown from the bus at high speed and then fall to their targets, rather than being propelled there by a rocket. Their shape and the materials they're made of also make them stealthier, in the same way that stealth aircraft are made stealthier.

Firstly, videogames are not reality.

Secondly, the nukes that Rex fired were not rockets, but railgun rounds.

So you're not just wrong in reality, but you're even wrong in the fictional videogame world that you've confused with reality.

Hey /k/, I've been hearing alot about the Chauchat recently, mainly how its utter shit.

I understand that the main issue was the open magazine, especially in all the mud and dirt of WWI. If you sealed the mag would it be substantially better? I also heard the parts of individual guns were not interchangeable, making it a nightmare to repair.

So how do we fix it?

Hey guys, I got a blogpost for you, feel free to share your own stories of how guns affecting your life considerably.
> Finally get on my feet after being homeless for a little while
> Get a way better job, far far away from my evil mother
> I rent a room from one of my coworkers
> Its all going good until yesterday
> He knew I had a firearm, he even said he was down to go target shooting one day
> That was like 3 weeks ago
> Fast forward to yesterday
> His wife apparently was never told of the firearm
> She throws a fit, he tells her he never even knew they were real firearms, he thought they were fake (He was lying to her because i assume he didn't want to get introuble seeing as he knew and didn't tell her until 3 weeks after he knew)
> She demands i either get rid of the gun , or i must leave
What do? I don't want to be homeless again, but i also don't want to be away from ALL my guns, i already have 2 in storage, and i only have one with me. any ideas?

Get rid of her. Then you and co-worker become roommate buds
>>
I doubt whatever guns you have are worth being made homeless again, and if they are maybe you should sell them to add to your savings.
>>
Yeah, just get rid of the guns. Prioritize actually having a decent living over material possessions.

You've fucked with the wrong people. A ten-strong Biker gang is out for your head. You've taken refuge in this abandoned farm house.

How do you defend yourself?

Rules:
1. You have three hours to prepare for the assault.

2. You can only use guns, gear and ammo that you already own or could easily obtain. Same goes for backup. Only people you know. No cops.

3. Bikers have handguns, shotguns and knives. Some are former vets and have combat training.

4. Property is very secluded. No one is going to hear the commotion. Dirt road to the west. Scrub brush and tall grass to the east. Empty farmland to the north and south.

Good luck.

I'd camp out in the rafters of the barn. Wait for them to show up, shoot a couple before they can respond, then hide in the barn and gorrila their warfare
