I have the Sr40c as my daily carry. It's cheap, reliable, and doesn't have a glock logo. I feel bad about putting good ammo in 40 down it sometimes being as cheap as it is for a 40.. but fuck it.
I really want a Sig Pro in 40 after shooting this.

It's strange, ruger handguns (excluding revolvers) are rarely talked about on /k/, and I don't know if I'm happy they aren't openly mocked/masturbated to like glocks or if I'm disappointed. I have an Sr9 and I like it, but if you're looking for a ccw you'd probably want the Sr9c/Sr40c. As for the 9mm vs .40 dilemma, I'd say it's a matter of opinion as the cost difference per round is rather negligible. Spare magazines and aftermarket products are both kind of hard to find/expensive near me so I'd hate to be stuck with the 10 rd magazines.

Most .40s will be fine. If you really want a full size handgun and are willing to spend more, I'd recommend a Glock 22 Gen 4 or H&K USP.

I'm happy that prices on milsurp have risen so that they're not the first choice for bubbas who will merely end up hacking up irreplaceable historical antiques because "muh ounces".
