I scored this on Ebay for $27 from some guy clearing out his dad's house. It doesn't say Colt on it, did other companies make these? It does seem old, so if it's a repop it's an older one.

What up /k/, I've never owned a gun, but I grew up in Vermont shooting all sorts of pistols and rifles with my friends and now I kind of want to get back into that. I want to go buy a 22 to plink with, maybe something like pic related. I don't want to invest too much though, since a teacher's budget is of the ramen-noodles-on-sale variety.
TLDR anybody wanna give a first time buyer tips on how to buy cheap guns?

Get a Heritage rough rider. The build quality is really good for a 150 dollar gun. Some of them can fire 22lr and 22mag. It's got that classic single action army look. Really can't go wrong with it for a first fun. Definitely stay away from H&R 922, those things suck.

for this event, I was curious how interested folks would be in a type of two gun match. I'd have to scout my area a bit more to find some extra lanes, but I think it could turn out pretty fun and switch up what we usually do at these events.

I plan to vote conservative in 2017 (mostly) in the name of Brexit. However there is another topic that simply isn't spoken about in parliament - while it did annoy me in the past, at this point it is too much.
In 1903 Britain passed its first ever gun control law, a minor one requiring a permit to carry a handgun and restricting the age of purchasers. Which I fully support and understand
In 1936 fully automatic firearms were outlawed. Which I completely understand
HOWEVER - In 1946 "self defence" was no longer considered a good reason for requiring a police issued firearms certificate. This was wrong.
In 1953 carrying any type of weapon for self defence was made illegal. This was also wrong.
We now live as a disarmed populace, one that has to "run, hide, tell" when the worst happens, women cannot defend themselves if they're being raped, and other people cant defend themselves from thugs etc.
Criminals will either obtain guns illegally, or use other methods such as knives or vehicles.
Banning the right to self defense as on the whole greatly harmed Britain - In this modern society where we can do a very deep background check on individuals it is very easy to deny those who should not own guns that possibility, meanwhile ensuring decent people can protect their families and communities - EVEN if its not handguns, even if its just tazers or something. I just want the public to have an option outside of "run, hide, tell" which is so sad.
I have linked images of "firearms per 100 people" in which you can see the trend for homicide goes DOWN with more firearm availability, and homicides in England which as you can see has shown no benefit to banning firearms. Please take these into consideration and call for parliament (after the GE) to return to people the right to self defense!

Currently playing rising storm 2. Setting is so fucking refreshing. Playing as radioman is the most rage inducing thing ever. Commanders will hang way the fuck back and use radios instead of me. Some will even get indignant when I point out that my presence means they're free to move about. A good commander plays the objective and makes spawns near it. Really have to hold back the urge to blast them in the brain pan.

Which is the better weapon. MP7 (used by SEALS) or it's improved version the MP9 with more advanced casing? I thnk the MP9 is better because it has more raw power and is easier for,duel wielding

Not really practical to duel weild a sub gun designed to be stabilized with two hands although its size would probably allow it.
Personally I'd go with the MP7, Although similiar I like the added bulk the MP7 has over the MP9. To me it makes for a better overall package when it comes to fitting the role of a subgun
