Guys, I don't know how I feel about this...

You know I find it amusing that a lot of people on 4chan assume that people are butthurt here because they aren't gonna make it in art or they suck or whatever. In my case, art is the only thing that's going well for me, it's what helps me wake up in the morning and get out of my bed. Waking up every morning excited to learn new things and getting positive feedback from others is what helps me live. It's everything else in life that keeps me down.
That's really sweet to hear. Hold on to that feeling as long as you can and you're gonna go far.

may i sniff your panties.
and yes i know you are a dude.
>>2816936
I like you anon, make /ic/ decent again.
How many years did you shitpost on /ic before you realized you really won't make it? Since Crimson Daggers days? Earlier? Did that realization hurt your feelings?

How do i KJG mode?

Always carry a sketchbook and a pencil on you. When someone says about you in third person "anon is ALWAYS drawing!" when you are drawing you know you are on the right way.
wish he wasn't too lazy to fucking learn english so he can teach me something
After learning that Patreon has a complex tax system that rapes EU users I gave hope on it and decided to focus more of my commissions and art sales as a way of income...
Let's know how much you make :D
Post :
>Income ( avg monthly )
>Number of commissions / sales a month
>What you do ( Hentai , Traditional , Concept )
>Way of earning ( Commissions , Etsy , Patreon )
>Link to your work ( optional )
Huh, could you give more insight about the tax fuckup?
"complex tax system", lol. Also, you do realize your tax liability doesn't change by skipping over Patreon, right? Income is income.

for how crappy the prequels were, I think tpm was the best of the three, and the cg holds up surprisingly well for how old it is. just goes to show how much passion and excitement was behind the design team and animators and artists at the time.
R8 my artwork please, I use mixed media which usually consists of
-watercolor
-ink
-pencil
-colored pencil
Also general r8 thread I guess.

Dunno why its rotated
Yer so edgy, bruh. So thought provoking. As your facebook friends would say. "Dude, so sick". "Yo, dis shit deep".
You're fucking cringe, dude.
You missed the appropriate thread! Post here instead:

Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, there is a question thread for that.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (I recommend ShareX)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

There's a new (and cleaner) sticky in town! You can see it at:

>Thread study: Try to draw/paint the opening or any other following images.
Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.
OLD THREAD: >>2814252
>Call myself an artist
>Friend ask me to draw on the spot
>Try doing it from imagination
>No references
>Loose spagetti
>Result looks like an amputee with parkinson
Remember to do from imagination from time to time guys.
Don't always rely on references you may not always have at hand
>>2816341
You learn to draw from imagination by studying from references.
>>2816361
Yeah, no shit. What is your point? He's not saying references are bad, just that you need to learn from them, not rely on them.
>>2816341
thanks Anon

This thread is meant for artists who might want to try to make anime works in-between their studies. It is strongly recommended that you use this thread in conjunction with learning the elements and fundamentals of art. You can also discuss the visual elements of various professional artists as well if you keep it relatively articulate and civil.
Submit your drawings, receive feedback or critique others! Share your knowledge and remember to thank those who've critiqued or red-lined your drawings. Most importantly, have fun!

Looking for critique.
Another random chick.
Hey /Ic/. I have one of those, wacom bamboo pen. It's kinda old, but still works fine. I mostly use Paint Tool SAI for drawing, but recently, after spending a couple months away, plugged my tablet in and the pen pressure wouldn't work on SAI. At all. It's completely normal and works fine on other programs, from photoshop to everything else, the driver is updated and I have reinstalled, uninstalled and installed every driver possible without solution. Installed about 6 or 7 different SAIs with different settings, deleted preferences, plugged and unplugged my tablet (inside and outside SAI), restarted my computer multiple times. SAI settings are all fine (min size, click detection pressure, all that shit). I'm all out of ideas. Should I just drop SAI find another program? Pls help
Love, anon
>Should I just drop SAI find another program?
yes
even if pen pressure worked you should drop it
because sai is shit
if it works in every other program then sai is the problem, pretty obvious
>>2813433
I know it's shit but it's just so easy to use and nice to do linework. What should I use, then?
Seriously though, if there's a way to get it working again it would be lovely.
>>2813432
Dude, it's probably not a problem with SAI, but with your tablet drivers. Uninstall your old drivers and download the newest from Wacom (that's suits your tablet model), that should fix it.
Hi /ic/, could you guys gimme some critique about my work? how do i learn how every kind of shadow and light falls on a face? do i have to make a load casts/value studies?
Know that shadow is bound by form, and that light is liberated. Light is allowed to gently, and casually, do whatever the fuck it wants to. Light's a bit of a douchebag in this regard. Able to change the hardness of shadows with its presence.
Smooth plane changes have a smooth value gradation and thus have "smooth" or softer form shadows.
Light gently scatters across the innumerable planes with its presence.
Abrupt plane changes have an abrupt value gradation and thus have "abrupt" or harder form shadows.
Light gets confused, bouncing off planes and missing planes altogether, A decisive victory for the Shadow side.
Shadows cling to forms like writing clings to paper; bound by the plane it is on. Raytracing, etc. etc.
Light flows like water distributing itself evenly. Angle of incidence, and all that
all of lighting is affected by the environment it is in, and the forms it interacts with,
>TL;DR know every plane of the face first.
What. are some good a1 portfolios at >35 pounds?
Why are you looking for a bag that weighs more than 35 pounds? Wouldn't you want something lighter?
