It's sad looking through these beginner threads, sites like deviantart, and even forums where despite all the hard work people put in( hell even when they study their fundamentals) they make very little progress over the years. Yes the more you draw the better you will get, yes studying Loomis will help you make gains but the fact of the matter is if you aren't you will NEVER reach a professional level. You think most professional artists studied loomis for decades before they "git gud" ? No, it only takes a few years. My point is simple, if you been practicing for more than 3 years and you're still shit, then chances are you'll be shit forever, quit wasting your time.

Hey /ic/. Next year I'll go off to college to study either computer science or quantum physics, meaning my art understanding is very rudimentary.
I have messed around in Photoshop (I'll post some pics if anyone asks) but I don't know any big rules about paper drawing/paintings.
With this in mind, why did Adolf Hitler not get accepted in the Geneva Art School with paintings such as pic related?

Will I ever be as good as Hyojin /ic/? She is one of my biggest inspirations, her stuff is really nice, puts a smile on my face, and helps me get through the day. I hope one day I can achieve the same as her.

Sycra draws like a professional and yet people says he draws like an amateur. People say it's because he's popular, well there are a lot more popular artists who don't get as much shit as him. People say it's because he's bad, well there are a lot worse artists who don't get that much shit.
