Hey /Ic/. I have one of those, wacom bamboo pen. It's kinda old, but still works fine. I mostly use Paint Tool SAI for drawing, but recently, after spending a couple months away, plugged my tablet in and the pen pressure wouldn't work on SAI. At all. It's completely normal and works fine on other programs, from photoshop to everything else, the driver is updated and I have reinstalled, uninstalled and installed every driver possible without solution. Installed about 6 or 7 different SAIs with different settings, deleted preferences, plugged and unplugged my tablet (inside and outside SAI), restarted my computer multiple times. SAI settings are all fine (min size, click detection pressure, all that shit). I'm all out of ideas. Should I just drop SAI find another program? Pls help
Love, anon

>Should I just drop SAI find another program?

yes
even if pen pressure worked you should drop it
because sai is shit
if it works in every other program then sai is the problem, pretty obvious

I know it's shit but it's just so easy to use and nice to do linework. What should I use, then?
Seriously though, if there's a way to get it working again it would be lovely.

Dude, it's probably not a problem with SAI, but with your tablet drivers. Uninstall your old drivers and download the newest from Wacom (that's suits your tablet model), that should fix it.

This happened to me SO MANY TIMES with fucking Bamboo. It's not SAI, and it's not your pen, it's your tablet. Intuous has only done it a couple times for me, and when it does it's fixed by unplugging and replugging. It's fucking Bamboo that just quits sometimes.

If you're doing a lot of color rendering, SAI isn't great. I use it for cell shading and animation, it's perfectly fine for that. It is outdated for more professional work, though.

It's the tablet. I have the same model and i also have problems with her (i usually use photoshop in windows 7.) I uninstall all wacom plug-ins and download drivers from the official page and it works (for the moment.)
