How do you prepare for an Apple Event/Keynote?
>no shitbag
>no pissbottles
>no cumsock
the essential things are missing
>>56460742
i don't think i've ever watched an apple event or keynote, to be honest this is the first time i ever really thought about the concept, apple shit has never really been exciting or revolutionary, its just another sub-par brand that chisels the side of their plastic shit and charges an extra couple hundred for that to make up for all the worker suicides.
>>56460742
I don't
I let /g/ prepare for and watch them for me so I can join into the fray with the opposite opinion of whatever side the majority takes
Let's talk about audio codecs.
What do you prefer? Do you care about licensing?
I personally download FLAC whenever I can, keep a copy for archiving and convert to Opus for listening.
>>56460684
i download everything at mp3 320kbits because even on my 2000€ setup i can't figure out the difference on a normal basis.
it's because most songs nowadays don't have the mastering qualities to shine in lossless formats
>>56460684
I just download whatever is available. I can't hear the difference between different bitrates above the "sounds like absolute shit" rate that you get on the radio and mp3s from limewire.

posted this in /tesg/ and got redirected here: i'm a manbaby who got a job for the sole purpose of saving up to build a rig that can play skyrim/fnv with a bajillion mods, i currently have only bought the case, a Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case. I would like advice on the optimal hardware to get for running heavily modded bethesda games at playable fps with minimal stuttering, pls advise me. P.S. money isnt rlly that much of a issue as the majority of my paychecks are being saved to build this rig
Step one. Buy which ever gpu fits your budget.
Don't bother with anything less than $200
Step 2. Skyrim isn't well multithreaded so just get a 6500k
Step 3. /G/ isn't your personal tech support. Use fucking google like a normal person.
>>56460211
Get a CPU, a motherboard, ram for it, a nice (but not too nice, if it's only 1080p 60fps) graphics card, something to save it on, and something to power it
Throw it all in your expensive fuckhuge massive case and play

thx, i have, just wanted 4chan's advice

thank you, i'm planning on getting a gtx 1080 as i'll be using a enb and texture packs
Okay /g/ how many programmers here make six figures, is that just a meme? If you do make six figures how did you get to that stage, college, self taught? I'm curios because I've wanted to pursue a career in computer programming forever now, the wage won't stop me but who would complain with living the comfy six figure life.
Image 100% unrelated.
Bump, curious.
Six figure fag reporting in. No degree, but I have ten years of experience.
>>56461338
also bumping, also curious
i encrypted some files using Misty1 encryption algorithm and put the on the cloud
did i do good?
>>56460011
>In cryptography, MISTY1 (or MISTY-1) is a block cipher designed in 1995 by Mitsuru Matsui and others for Mitsubishi Electric.
>However, it was successfully broken in 2015 by Yosuke Todo using integral cryptanalysis; this attack was improved in the same year by Achiya Bar-On.

NSA already has 427 duplicates of each file in unencrypted form and much to your surprise this was done before you uploaded any data to the cloud.
So I decided to try RHEL and found out you have a "trial period"
What the fuck? Do I have to pay for free software? Are those guys literally Jews?
Why would people allow them to pull a microsoft jewery like that?
>>56459903
Fedora you fucking moron
>>56459903
Redhat is government/spooks Linux. I believe that technically they aren't selling you the system but rather support for the system which is bound to the license, although I could be wrong.
>>56459903
The GPL allows them, and they are geniuses for making money while contributing to free software.
4/10 b8 made me respond
Whats up /g/?
So Im in college for I.T. Security and I find it completely fascinating. The problem that I face is that I have no knowledge on coding or reading code. I've tried to read books, codeacademy, apps, but none of seems to stick.
I tend to learn better when I can get feedback from any questions I may have, especially when it comes to what each command does and how it works. What I'm wondering is, is there anything short of meeting with people to learn and get feedback? I work during the day and Im taking this semester off to do what it is I'm here asking for.
Any thoughts or ideas? Tips would be appreciated too.

I'm not even a rich fag, you can find cheap 4k TVs with relatively low input lag this time a year as they clear their stock to make way for the 2017 models. I have a cheap Acer G257HU that was 250 bucks and my S7 I guess I kinda splurged on release but I didn't out right buy it.
