So yesterday I posted about an annoying coil whine I'd get in my speakers here >>56445740 from my onboard sound

The problem basically boiled down to me getting a coil whine whenever I'd put the GPU under load. Note, the coil whine I could only hear with my speakers or headphones on. What I noticed was that the whine got less if the GPU was under 100% load. Now I tried swapping for a different GPU but that did not fix my issue. Some googling I did suggested it might have been the PSU or some grounding issue. When I unplug the aux in and touch the I/O shield, I can hear the coil whining loud and clearly. So do you guys think it is a PSU or grounding issue? Or are they both related to each other? Any ideas for a fix, replacing PSU is an obvious one ofcourse.

Some onboards are simply noisy.
A dedicated soundcard usually fixes the problem.
>>
I found that acer motherboards have this type of problem, and or just noisy audio. Its like what is mentioned in >>56452896. Sound cards may fix the problem but be wary of shit teir cards. Something like a $50 asus card would be something to look out for.

Do you actually care about computers? Back then, they were just a tool for other fields, and nothing to be passionate about in their own right. Your dad didn't care for computers, he just used them to do his research and job.

As long as you actually care, you'll probably be fine. Especially since the current trend is that newer generations are getting worse and worse at using computers.

I have two, two year old, refurbished models. They work great and they were only thirty-five bucks. My only complaint is that they are a little bit on the light side, in terms of weight.
>>
>>56452158
They are super light but that doesn't really bother me. I do however have dainty little fucking hands and this is pretty large for me so it was kind of weird getting used to.

The buttons on the side have been disabled since I got it since I kept popping them too and it was slightly annoying so really at the end of the day I paid for this without really using any of the features.

The light is cool I guess.

You don't need battery saving unless you have a tendency to install tons of bloat. All in one toolbox is decent for most tasks.

I need to buy a laptop in the next 2 months, and have no idea what to look for.

>need it primarly for work (photoshop, indesign, illustrator - minor video editing/animations)
>should also be able to run Ableton/Cubase ( /Logic in case of Apple)
>wouldn't mind if i can also run some games on it (not really necessary)

I use a PC at home but use an iMac/miniMac at work, was thinking about getting a Macbook but im not really sure(don't really like OS X that much). Any suggestions?

Don't necessarily need the most expensive laptop, but i want something good that i can use for couple of years.
Got 700 euro right now, but as i got 2 months to buy it i might spend up to 2k.

macbooks need to be babied, T series can be treated like shit.
