Hi /g/
I'm looking to buy a new laptop in the 600-800€ range. I was actually thinking of getting the Dell 7000 that costs 780$ on amazon.com, but turns out it costs about 200 more bucks in my country (Germany) so that's out.
As for preferences, I'm not really a huge gamer but I don't think I want something with integrated graphics. Other than that it should have a SSD, a good screen and just overall solid build quality so it lasts a long time. Screen size around 15.6~.
I'm looking at some Acer Aspires right now but I've no clue really what's good.
What do you guys think should I get?

Oh yeah, a IPS screen would be nice but I imagine that + SSD would kill the budget.

Facing the choice, I'd prioritize a good IPS screen over an SSD. Cheap TN laptop panels are truly horrible and can be difficult to read. You can always upgrade to an SSD later, if you find the hard drive to be too slow and you've got the money.

Does anybody know why, when I connect my laptop to my tv, screen is shifted over an inch? On the left side of my tv I see a 1 inch black bar before the desktop starts. And on the right side it seems to be cut off with an inch of screen left that I can't see.
Is there something I can change in the settings to properly align my desktop screen with my tv?

Could a power surge with a router's functions?
I had a power outage last month, and since then my router will randomly drop out; the wi-fi network will just disappear, but the light on the router stays on. Since I'm a poorfag, I had let it slide, but I'm taking an online class and don't want to fuck myself during a test. Should I just bite the bullet and get a new router? Budget is =<$100

i got a dual band gigabit 8 port dlink for $6
just make sure to find a power adapter for it too while you are there

Why do AMD CPUs have lower declared max operating temperature than those of intel. For AMD its usually 65-80, while intel has it at 100.

Depends what series of AMD chips are talking - a lot of their mobile chips and APUs go much hotter than what the fx line does. In fact fx chips really, really need to be kept cool.
