They can't enforce this surely?

Think of the TV licence like a tax. If you don't pay it it's tax evasion.

No, they can't.

Why the hell would you need Sublime in Linux?
If you're not an expert, don't use a distro that isn't apt supported.
is there a tool that helps me generate bullshit magazine articles? I want to automate some of the work. E.g. it generates a skeleton for 'The 10 best X you would not believe' and then I just have to fill in the Xs in the article body, or something along the lines.
>>56467100
W-Why do you need that?
>>56467127
I'm setting up a womens magazine and need some filler content
>>56467236
Just write a quick program to do that. That seems very easily accomplishable.
OK,I know this is stupid but can someone tell me how to hack WiFi Router or something. There are two routers in my school for teachers and no one else. And it would be cool if I got access to it.Is there something that generate password until it finds correct one?PLS help me
>still in school
what are you? 12?
start studying you little piece of shit, it's what schools are for.
>>56467088
stick your finger in the pooper and smear it on the wifi antenna then put a bugger on its tip
the next morning make some alphabet soup and you will see the password

Now it is
Bought an open box car stereo on Amazon and it still has the last owners password locking me out. I either need to crack it or hack it, any advice would be a huge help. Password hint is," axell"

>see if you can get it reset
>email Amazon or whoever the authorized dealer was
>if they can't help you get it refunded or exchanged(they will, even if it's not in their policy to refund an open box product, there's still good faith laws in that they can't straight up sell you a broken piece of shit under the guise of it being a working product.)
Give it back Jamal.

>fedex delays my package by a day when its literally less than an hour away
Reeeeeeeeee
>>56466955
I ordered a T420s today, same thing happened, its litterally a 30m drive and i could have picked it up myself, but the company i ordered frome "Doesn't work that way". Fucking bullshit.
I don't know how FedEx works but I once made the mistake of ordering a package to be delivered by UPS. They didn't tell me when my package would arrive, could be any time of the day, and if I didn't open my door they would leave the package outside so not wanting some nigger neighbor to pass by and steal it I had to take an entire fucking day off work just to wait for it and then it never showed up. Took the next day off and then the faggot showed up with the package at 18:00. Fuck UPS. Never again. From now on I only order from websites that deliver to my postal office so I can go and pick up the package whenever I feel like doing it.
>>56466955
can we all just teleport 300-500 years into the future where delivery is instantaneous?
Can anyone explain to me why this shit has to be so fucking difficult player.
I have a computer. It's full of media.
I have a Blu-Ray player. It plays the media on my computer.
It worked fine until today. Today a house guest started using my WiFi. Now my media server doesn't work.
When I tried to investigate the problem I got a series of vague error codes. When I tried to research these error codes and find out what the fuck is going on all I find are forum posts that don't solve anything. All I know is that it says the address is already in use. Nowhere on the internet does it say what the fuck I'm supposed to do in this situation.
Now I have to watch The Sopranos on my desktop like a pleb.
Is there a reason everything network related has to be such a cunt? It's been the biggest pain in my ass my entire life.
Just use Plex you fucking goy.
>>56466891

Hello, /g/
I've lurked this board before, when I was building my PC to see which parts to pick. First time posting so be gentle.
I am a philosophy major and I am interested in artificial intelligence and the current problems of AI sentience.
I'm here to ask you gents for sources on general AI development. I am developing a method which would ensure that the AI won't go all Skynet rouge, I would greatly appreciate your help. Even if you don't post direct links, website mentions and even names of people of interest would be great.
I came here to see if anyone would be willing to help and explain the current problems discussed in the TechSavy community. I myself have an extremely limited, bordering on no-existent coding knowledge, my efforts would be greatly benefited by some insider info.

Good morning, /g/
I want to build an old pc for nostalgia, i wondered, how are those desktop pc's, square and laid down on the side called? the ones that used to have a monitor on top of them.
Also is this screen good?
Thanks
>>56466782
>how are those desktop pc's, square and laid down on the side called? the ones that used to have a monitor on top of them.
desktops
the ones that stand vertical are called towers
>>56466796
That actually makes sense, thanks, will look for a desktop pc even thought i'm never gonna find one like that
>>56466796
-- and yea, that won't help you find them
towers came later, and people were already used to calling everything desktops, so now towers are usually called desktops as well
Hey /g/ im in a tech high right now. I'm super interested in everything from pen testing to servers. What language should i learn of the the big ones?
>Java
>C++
>Python
>Ruby
I have no programming experience btw but know my way around a pc
If you want to get into web: Python and ruby are both interesting.
Pentesting: Python and c++.
c++ is good for the low level tools like networking and hardware (microcontrollers)
Python is good for data processing and displaying, also creating tools quickly
Just start with Python if you want to do web development or system management (Linux servers)
Start with c++ if you want to get into pentesting or want to program on hardware level or computers
>>56466730
>I have no programming experience
Pick a language that employs some of the modern concepts (i.e. the object oriented paradigm), such as the mentioned Python or Java and just fucking code away like a crackhead who's not had any for a month.
You should reach a point, where you can implement an idea into working code without being held back too much by 'how do I do this?'. Once you're there move into specific applications and challenges that might require a different set of tools or programming language. By then, learning a new language shouldn't be a hassle anymore.
>>56466818
I want to get into android development but right now I want to see what languages have to offer. Sounds like i should go Python
>tfw lost my job because of incompetent retarded stupid piece of shit IT admin
My boss said he wanted to talk to me after work. I asked him what it was about but he just left me clueless with the words "I think you know very well what this is about".
I went to my boss' office after my working hours were finished for the day and he was holding a paper. "I received this from the computer guys" he said. "Sit down".
I sat down and looked at him confused. "So uh... what's this about?"
He showed me the paper and asked "What the fuck were you thinking? Do you think this is appropriate?"
On the paper was my password for the work computer: FuckIHateNiggersIJustWantToKillThoseWorthlessFuckers12345
My boss told me the company did not support those values and that they could not hire someone who does, thus I was fired.
I am so fucking pissed at this faggot IT admin for storing the password in plain text. Is there some way I can get him fired for being an incompetent faggot?
>>56466635

Phoneposters shouldn't be able to create threads.
Japanese moot; please make it happen.
fucking racist
My neighbour gave me one of these (because of his line of work he gets a lot of used hardware) and to be honest, it's pretty zippy for what it is.
Would it be worth keeping and upgrading at all? The main problem I think is that there's no (visible) PSU
