>ubuntu gnome
>getting shit done

OP will probably enjoy fixing all the shitty implementations and installing backports and be rendered useless after a messy upgrade.

If he wanted to get shit done, he would've probably gone to Ubuntu, Ubuntu Mate, or Mint.

A DE does not determine your knowledge of technology.

I use Openbox though.

If you use GNU/Linux at all, you are almost surely somewhat technologically literate because you probably would have needed to install your own OS.

Ive been lurking /g/ for a couple months now and decided to give Linux a shot. It seems like its a more suitable OS for me after reading all these posts.
What should I know/expect before I replace my Windows OS with Linux?

http://newsroom.fb.com/news/2016/12/partnering-to-help-curb-spread-of-online-terrorist-content/

Facebook, Microsoft, Twitter, Youtube are going to start hashing files deemed to be "terrorist content", those files will then be shared with the other services allowing automatic removal of content the service providers deem "bad". Major sites of the internet have now announced that they will be actively and automatically disappearing content .

Flag something as "terrorist recruiting" content and it disappears forever from those sites. I'm sure this is not going to be abused at all and will not open the door for something even worse

They use some sort of fuzzy hashes for cp so that small changes still match

How good is it? Switching from my current one because our contract is up and I'm not a big baller. Don't care about piracy policies or any of that.

And general internet provider thread, what are the best IP's you've been with/know about?
7 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
If your only other choice is Commuistcast or AT&TJews then you should go with FiOS
>>
>>57874112
We had Cox and they were ok, although over the years they sent me some piracy notices but I wasn't too worried, I already have everything I need. Plus my current package is like 50MBPS, while Verizon offering 150 for like half the price I'm paying now. But in my area we only have Xfinity left, and they don't seem any better.
>>
>>57874071
Verizon is fairly shady, but fios is definitely the best national ISP that isn't pie-in-the-sky faux fantasy shit like google fiber or any of that municipal shit.

The new Razor blade is quite good. Just get a dbrand skin or something to cover up the disgusting Razer logo and it's looks pretty neat.

this although it is pretty expensive.

Dell XPS 15 is supposed to be fine but supposedly the keyboard blows which is pretty critical for a laptop

The 480 is now overall faster than the 1060, especially in DX12/Vulkan

Did anyone make the mistake of buying a 1060? God forbid buying a G-sync display for $100 more than a free-sync display of the same specs

Are books in this bundle worth it?
Has anyone buy it? Your thoughts on it?
Would anyone be willing to share? I feel terrible for asking since HB is charity. I often buy video gaymes from them but right now I don't have a form of payment.
