How good is Fios? [Internet Provider General]

If your only other choice is Commuistcast or AT&TJews then you should go with FiOS

We had Cox and they were ok, although over the years they sent me some piracy notices but I wasn't too worried, I already have everything I need. Plus my current package is like 50MBPS, while Verizon offering 150 for like half the price I'm paying now. But in my area we only have Xfinity left, and they don't seem any better.

Verizon is fairly shady, but fios is definitely the best national ISP that isn't pie-in-the-sky faux fantasy shit like google fiber or any of that municipal shit.

I actually like FiOS. The price isn't too bad and I get good speeds. Plus, they have a six strike system for torrenting so they are pretty lenient.

FiOS is based ISP.

About two years ago they were throttling youtube and netflix traffic (technically they just weren't provisioning proper bandwidth at interconnect nodes, but the end result was the same)

Once they got that sorted out however, it's been fine.

Torrents and Steam downloads hit my advertised speeds all the time.

Verizon fios is good.

Frontier fios is shit.
