Why do you like Golang /g/?
Is Golang worth learning or is it just another meme?
As of now, i am using Nodejs and Python for my backends, but would be curious to see why others like Golang so much.
>garbage collector
It sucks balls.
Anything is a step up from nodejs

>why others like Golang so much.
1) Speed
2) Statically compiled, so everything is wrapped up into one neat binary (no external dependencies) which makes containerization simple
>write a big chunk of code
>program compiles without errors
>program does exactly what you want
Is there a better tech-related feeling than this /g/entoos?

How has no one cured this yet?
There is no cure for someone stupid enough to buy an Apple computer.
It's terminal.

they just had to put little pads to avoid the screen to be in contact with the keyboard?

I'm looking for a new phone but I'm kinda lost in all the offer lately.
I had a iphone 3s and now a 4s. Problem is, it's 8gig and it's kinda slow.
I don't need the perfect new hotness, but a nice, sturdy phone would be great, what can you recommend ?
The Iphone 6s looks pretty good but seems kinda expensive for what it is, and I don't really know about androids phones. The 7 looks meh wiithout its headphone jack.
I'm looking for something veratile, sturdy and with a good capacity. (Something like 32 / 64 gigs)
>>57868472
Either buy the iPhone 5S for a dirt cheap price or buy the SE or wait until 2018 to buy the then cheaper iPhone 6
I would recommend the SE
It has the same processing power as the iPhone 6s, same small form factor as the old iphones, and its cheaper.

You don't get it- the innovation is that it delivers sound by vibrating your skull bones.

How far are we from "true" wireless charging?
We're already there, I can charge my phone with no wires attached to it.
>>57867646
You have to set it on a charging pad which is nearly the same as using a wire.
>>57867619
When electricity is virtually free wireless charging will take off.
what distro is considered to be a /g/ approved beginner distro?

Ubuntu, but Fedora is better if you don't mind adding the RPM fusion repo

This is my exact question.
typical DDR3L so-dimm module uses like 3W of power. It makes a difference in ULV mobile systems, so I decided to take one out. So far I don't see any difference in gaymur experience

This happened to me recently after a Windows Update. To fix I had to Install Gemtoo.

You asked for this.

What if, due to some quirk of fate we remained in the column-based textual interface?
What kind of form would computing have taken if we were to think what kind of developments would have been enacted, the same way that GUIs have become more and more animated and aesthetically minded?
