ABP has worked on my machine for years. But I am curious about this one:

>youtube ads dont work with it

What are you trying to say here? You can't disable ABP on youtube? I have never attempted to enable ads on youtube. But I have been successful on other sites.

Although I'm going to stop doing that now after reading about the latest malware shenanigans.

Greetings /g/, I have what is most likely a stupid question/problem. Just finished putting together my first computer an it looks like everything works fine, but when i move files from one hdd to the other it copies them like its a flashdrive or something instead of moving them. What did i screw up?

press CTRL when drag/dropping the file to switch between COPY and MOVE. it'll show you on the icon which one it is going to do.

Trying to decide what my main distro will be. I will be using this on a VM Lab for pentesting images from vulnhub. My go to has always been Kali, but I figured some of you may have a better suggestion.

If you are a student and want to learn: blackbuntu
if you want to pentest for real: cyborg

(you should also check live hack os)
>>
>>57879217
Could you give me key reasons for using either? These are distros I don't recognize

BlackArch for installing. Kali for a live booting.

My first day, I am so grateful to be here, I read, I browsed, I decided to download a bunch of torrents labeled "freely.available" expecting to slowly build a ratio buffer. SNAFU, this was not a good idea....

I'm still not sure exactly what "freely.available" tag means, so if someone could explain it to me, that would be very helpful to me and any other dumbasses that may follow in my footsteps.

I'm not new to the game, Im hoping I ll be able to dig myself out, but if anyone wants to offer advise it would be truly appreciated.

This is a very impressive tracker for its age and with all the drama happening on the interwebs, I'm going to do my best to fix this and stay here.

just upgraded power supply.

whats the best way to show it off?

630W to 1000W
21 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
>>57878991
your CPU uses 220w, your motherboard, RAM, hard drives, etc are another ~50w.

Your GPU is at most pulling ~150w.

So you have a total system power draw of ~550w at MOST.

a quality PSU in the 700w range would make more sense.

And most CPUs these days will use far less than that, intel TDP is down under 100w for their CPUs in the consumer space. And even OC'd they only hit ~150w.

>>57878991
>show it off

your psu is not the equivalent of the engine in a car, just in case you're mentally handicapped

Solus boots up in 1/7 the amount of time as Fedora.

Ubuntu doesn't need a new repo for every little program you want to install.

Neither are red hat testing grounds for alpha tier freetard development.
Take your pic.

Install SmartOS. It's free. Fits on a USB stick.
Use KVM to load up any OS you want, also comes with DTrace so you can find bottlenecks if you're programming your own binaries.

I've tried 2.x, i don't like it.
This issue has sprung up on Android 7.0 & 7.1.1 on OmniROM. Don't know if it's the ROM or the version.
>inb4 learn2code
>inb4 >>>/b/, doesn't work with any boards other than the default ones.

Also character count and text selection and file size checking are broken.
Or maybe someone with knowledge could fork it and fix these issues?

My apartment is dusty as all fuck.
I clean it every week, but there's still a substantial layer of dust by next Sunday.
What technology can I use to rid myself of this problem? Do air purifiers actually do anything, or are they memes?

Programmers only apply math and not necessarily that complicated, it's mostly logic, while math itself is like a giant puzzle with rules you have to memorize.
