Anon needs help with his computer

My PC is a windows 10 AMD 6350 with RX 480 4GB. It runs games like GTA Online and Skyrim as smooth as a freshly shaven ballsack but crashes while watching youtube/trying to study/opening small fucking files. I've updated all drivers, deleted and reinstalled drivers, gotten new equipment and nothing's solved my problem.

I read online that it's probably Windows 10 power saving bolloxology that's reducing power to my card which in turn crashes the computer, and I can only turn it off in BIOS. Here's where the problem starts: Anon can't fucking access BIOS. EasyUefi tells me my system doesn't support UEFI, doing the advanced restart doesn't show UEFI, and pressing F2 during boot is about as useful as getting a /pol/ack to be your wingman on a night out.

Help me dear lord.

TL;DR: W10, No UEFI, can't into BIOS, need help turning off power savings in BIOS.

For is it better to have mirroring or striping? Alas, this miniscule case can only hold two drives -- 2 x HGST Ultrastar 7K4000 HUS724030ALE641 (0F17731) 3TB 64MB Cache 7200RPM SATA III 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Enterprise Internal Hard Drive (refurb/recert) -- and, although I'll be editing video and playing cs:go (or older) vidya gaemz while video renders, nothing is really "mission critical" (I can get by with two-day-old backups in the result of local drive failure) I think I'll just have cloud backup, so what do you think: RAID 0 or 1?

>also itt: raid general
25 posts and 5 images submitted.
>>
No RAID with nightly rsync cronjob. If you wanted speed you should have bought 2 SSD and done RAID 0.
>>
>>57876898
So, RAID 1? No RAID whatsoever (just 6gb total available disk space)?

Should I even bother with RAID? I've never yet gotten to actually set up a RAID array before... I'll give it a try with RAID 0 (striping) just to get a *feel* for the speed before switching back to two normal drives (and maybe just sticking with it anyway) despite the speed being less than SSDs.

>btw -- protip: buy ssd today; price on chips going up
>>
>>57876898
>...and then I read this to confirm what you said:
If you are considering going with RAID0 instead, besides the increases probability of data loss, the actual speed increase you're going to experience with desktop usage patterns is going to be minimal for HDDs (with SSDs it's a little different). Any speed increase you experience is most likely placebo effect.

Thinking about buying an Oukitel K6000, I've watched reviews and for $100 this looks like the best chink phone on amazon. But I'm worried it won't work on T-Mobile in the states since it doesn't say international. Anyone ever have experience with oukitel?

Just let me preface by saying I am a complete retard and that attempting to help me is a bit of an undertaking.
I got some virus on my computer, and it's fucking up my internet. I believe that some small files hidden deep in the users folder are messed up. I'm fairly sure this is the problem, but I've tried everything recommended and nothings working, so this is my last resort. My computer says that I am connected to the internet, but nothing will load (pic). The internet itself is not what's corrupted, since my phone works fine (which is how I'm typing this). I've tried the "winsock" cmd commands and the "netsh ip" commands I've found on help boards, and these bring my Internet back, but only for a few seconds after restarting, then I lose connection again. Btw I have windows 10.
My retardation level is less than "delete sys32" but above "don't download random porn games online"
Basically, I would like a magic fix to my problems, but seeing as that is unlikely, is a full restart of my pc the way to go?

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I've recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called "Linux", and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project.

There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine's resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called "Linux" distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

How the fuck do I use the built-in 4chan extension thread filters? Whenever I add a thread subject filter with "Auto" for a board that already has a thread subject filter on "Hide" all the threads including the ones marked "Hide" appear in my threadwatcher on refresh
