I hope you don't do this, /g/.
>>62201131
I want a nice RISC-V processor, but a decent one probably won't be out for another decade.
I wish, gib actually gud non-x86 CPU that compiles Chromium in <=5 hours
>>62201187
>Chromium
good one mate
I'm dumping Chrome and moving to Firefox.
What are essential about:config settings and extensions?
USE="-pulseaudio"
>>62201122
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/firefox
Check out the /cyb/ thread. One of the pastebins has a decent about:config guide.
redpill me on fedora. tempted to switch to it from debian, but am worried about the stability.
I've been using it for about a year and a half and have never had any stability issues
>>62201220
how about software availability compared to debian? is it any good?
>>62201259
I'd say it's good (I have no metric to back this up besides never not finding software I wanted) and it's more up to date than Debian software, obviously. The kernel is very up to date as well.
Freaky computer stories
Tell stories about your computer that scared the living shit out of you
Example: I downloaded virus screaming face popped up and I shat my pants
Another example: I checked my computer my camera was turned on and I kept hearing voices through the speakers untill I reinstalled my os
Earlier this summer I visited best buy to buy some flashdrives. I wanted to make several live usb boot sticks. After reformatting the drives, one of them put a ghost virus on my laptop. On dark nights when the moon is out, the laptop clamshell will try to snap down on my fingers. It only got me once so far but I guess I can't blame the usb drives since I wiped them all out and they only want revenge.
So like, woah, I don't understand how this thing works. So I keep pressing the button, and get freaked out. Woah. Also I was bored one day and tried to find something and I did, got super freaked out.
So my computer was turning itself on in the middle of the night. Called my suicidal PC repair tech IT faggot fuckboat piece of SHIT!!!!!!!!!! in the middle of the night for immediate support on this and after he was done crying, he told me it was "Wake On Lan". Fuck that shit, never heard of it, told him to fuck off and slammed the phone down although I might have not and that sound might have been a gunshot.
Shit's just fucking haunted. Freaky as fuck. *passes the blunt*

>Connected a sas storage array to my network and wanted to see what port it was on
>Queue the IP scanner
>Go to ssh into my net facing box and find 200 attempts to connect and freak the fuck out
>Realize 30 minutes later what caused it
>Proceed to install fail2ban anyway
What went wrong with pic related?

What does /g/ think of EdgeRouter stuff?
i think it's pretty edgy
>>62200980
give me a quick rundown
Trash. It can't run openwrt. Their APs are great by the way.
My phone (Droid Turbo 2) wont turn on or charge at all.
When I can get something to show up, it's either showing the drained battery logo or this.
This isn't my picture, but it shows the device is 'LOCKED'.
What exactly does this mean? Is there a way to fix this or is it bricked?
Thanks in advance for any help. Sorry this is its own thread, couldn't find the stupid questions thread.

Look, I'm going to be honest. I'm a retard when it comes to scripting languages. I've used some python in the past but that's been 10 years ago. I've downloaded the prereq's and they're currently in a folder. I downloaded the most recent versions of everything. Where do I run the command line from? I tried running it from the bash/readline folder and the says that "is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."
What am I doing wrong?

Bash means linux command line basically mate.
>>62200960
How do I get bash working on Windows, can I not use it like python where I run a command line from the install folder?
What case is this? Ive been searching all morning and can't seem to find it.
looks like the faggatron 5000 LED ultra gamer edition
>>62200896
imagine having this much aids
>>62200966
He's right though. you literally don't need something that spurts out so many different colours simultaneously it doesn't even look nice. it would be tolerable if it were all one colour but having this much is literally fucking stupid and not attractive at all
Installed LTSB on my new rig.
Do I even need to update this shit ?
>>62200816
Enjoy being sold by your malware OS.
>>62200933
I can fix it with scripts right ?
I had this in my bookmarks
https://github.com/W4RH4WK/Debloat-Windows-10
Sadly I need a windows machine fast to not fuck up my current productivity rate. But I plan to use my old rig to move back to a linux main, but that will take me time to tinker everything to my taste

>fat fedora nigger with meme mask
yep sounds about right.
There's a cafe four or five blocks away from me. If I built one of these cantenna things, could I connect to the internet without much trouble? What are the odds that it would be easily detectable that someone keeps connecting to them from far away?
oh look its one of these
a thread died for this shit
>>62200811
Why didn't you just search this up? It's very well documented.
A TL;DR:
>extremely high ms
>detectable, but only for those searching for it
>>62200811
Wouldn't you have to go to the cafe, and install a cantenna for them to point at your cantenna?
Can anyone actually hear the difference between FLAC 41.1kHz/16-bit and MP3 320kbps?
I did an ABX once and got 11/16 correct, if any difference can be detected it's extremely minor and doesn't take away any enjoyment of listening.
Storage is cheap, if FLAC is theoretically better (even if we can't hear that it's better?) then why not use it over mp3?
i can, but only barely. the difference is most likely not worth 5x the size in my opinion. i still download .flac files when i can find them, since storage is so cheap these days.

Copying my chromium profile from my backup location(which i was running it on while i was restoring data) no longer works. It presents this error message.I checked for any lock files in the profile, and there are none. However if i point via command line to my backup profile, it works as expected. How do i restore my profile? There are no zombie or background chromium processes.Failed to create a ProcessSinzgleton for your profile directory. This means that running multiple instances would start multiple browser processes rather than opening a new window in the existing process. Aborting now to avoid profile corruption.
>>62200641
the amount of time spent asking here could have just re-setup a new profile by now

What is better for a complex web app, postgreSQL or MySQL?
postgreSQL
>>62200516
What makes it better? MySQL seems a little easier to set up and the syntax is lighter.
>>62200573
Not owned by Oracle. Also performance.
