Do you have a toaster laptop?

>>62197932
Nice try.
Should I worry about semen stained keyboards from buying used laptops?
Nah. Semen is good for your skin.
Actually if you have bad skin you should use semen as a hand or face cream.
It's natural.
>>62197936
I did it more or less without purpose for a few years and I'm still an Acne riddled shitface
>>62197983
Not enough semen maybe?
I heard about one russian lady who uses her 3 sons semen as face cream. Her skin looks nice.
I've downloaded a bunch of images over past year and I suspect lots them will repeat.
can you recommend me any good tool to find potential duplicates and delete them at once? (they are named differently but I suspect they will be similar by file size or file resolution)
thanks /g/

also, you might need to change bin/sh to bin/bash
get cygwin if you're on windows
What OS?
For around $500 USD, can I do better than this
Used Panasonic Let's Note CF-SX3. 12"
Core i5-4300U-1.9GHz/128GSSD/4GBRAM/1600x900
Before you recommend a thinkpad - 1. I already am using an X230 but I mainly want a higher resolution screen, and 2. I live in Japan so these used Panasonic enterprise machines are basically the cheaper used Thinkpads.
Is there a better option either used or new for a similar price, if not cheaper? I just want something around 12" with somewhat decent internals and a screen that isn't 1366x768
Honestly it looks pretty damn good as far as laptops go. The i5-4300U isn't exactly super weak either. 4GB RAM too, most lappies that era are like 2GB. 900p is a kick up from 768p. SSD is top notch, should fly along. Check the battery, though. Could be knackered and unable to hold a charge anymore.
I'd say do it, always wondered what the laptop market is like in Japan. Also, enlighten us on that image, what the heckie is going on. A microsoft mouse? Windows 2000 looking shit on new looking monitors? a shitton of VNs?
Is this the NEETstation of prophecy?
>>62197869
Yeah it should be fine, and the screen res is better than the thinkpad alternatives. Just don't know if I want to spend that much on a 5 year old laptop.
The image is a a demonstration of visual novel degeneracy at it's maximum.
idk what's the most appropriate board where to ask this but maybe some of you know something
do you think that it should be possible from a program to tell apart different posters, given that they write a long enough message, basing on the characteristics of their text?
for example words,
using synonyms less usual than others,
the way, among all the possible legal ones, to construct a discourse
capitalizing words or not
basically to create a set of poster "models" and to give the estimate probability that x post belongs to y poster
for example, if i write another long post in the thread, the analyzing program should say that there ie 89% of chance that the post belongs to me
this could be especially useful in generals, especially generals with shitposters and annoying users
sorry if i gave a messy explanation but i hope you understood what i mean
sure it's possible
but not very useful
>>62197728
It is certainly possible to a degree, you can somewhat form people into categories so long as the person isn't being aware of how they type up their posts.
Like you, for example, would go into my fucking retard category.
>>62197728
on this board at least, there are about 10 users that i recognize in almost every thread, just based on their style of writing. it really differs between people, and that becomes very apparent when you spend 16 hours a day reading the shit they post. so im pretty sure that itd be possible for a program too.
How can one operate on the clearweb without leaving a trace running windows 7? Asking for a friend. Is a VPN enough or do you need something more?
There is no such thing
>>62197686
Ok thanks
>>62197647
the modern web isnt designed to be used like that, unfortunately. the current web standards are just hacks on top hacks, as are all modern browsers. no matter what you do, youll leave traces, and if you find a way to not leave any, that alone is identifying as fuck. your best bet would probably be vpn+tor, but if you actually feel paranoid about things like that, id recommend ditching the plebnet and moving on to alternate networks. theyre more active and popular than youd expect, if you know what to look for.
ps please dont use windows
>People's priority with regards to software
>1. it works
>2. everything else
Why can't freetards understand this?
Freetards deem not telling every stranger literally everything about their life more important than it just werks.
>>62197639
priority 1 is that a customer exists
>>62197639
They both work.
So, we can think about something else, can't we?
how do you fix a retarded problem like this?
Only on GNU/Linux, huh?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jiUl26o0hcQ
>>62197617
Stop being retarded and use OBS.
>use a shitty screen recording program for Windows
>doesn't werk
>GUYS LOOK HOW SHIT WINDOWS IS
It has nothing to do with the screen recording software though.
Is there a data recovery program that doesn't suck? (for Windows)
Recuva doesn't find shit half of the time, TestDisk recovers everything but the files get converted into an unintelligible mess and recovering everything also means stuff like temp files so I cannot find what I'm looking for. Are there any decent options out there?
>>62197574
Have you tried the deep scan on recuva that takes a long time to look?
>doesn't suck
>for Windows
pick one
>>62197584
yes
My cousin asked me to revive her decade old laptop.
What's a good lightweight distro that a normie would find easy to use? (LibreOffice, VLC, Browser)
I was thinking Puppy or Lubuntu, or maybe even Remix OS.
> inb4 Gentoo
pics?
of the laptop ofc
Windows POSReady 2009
>>62197615
Puppy or Lubuntu would both be fine. As for "reviving" an old computer hardware upgrades might be a better place to look than software. SSD would definitely do it.
Where do I start ricing MPV? What can I do with it?
>ricing mpv
Fucking why?
>>62197572
I have no life.
>>62197553
Go to /mpv/, retard.

When differential signaling was invented, and why the fuck computers don't use it since forever, given how simple the concept is and how superior it is to regular serial?
>>62197552
>3 wires (tx rx gnd)
>4 wires (tx+ tx- rx+ rx-)
>>62197580
Technically 4 wires if you're running power too and 6 wires for differential.
>>62197580
If serial vs serial yes, but if you compare to IDE for example, things get quite advantageous for a fast serial connection, unless it was too expensive to do on a decent clock rate in the 80's.
/g/, why do the big companies only let us use their white theme?
I'm not here to say >muhh dark theme are better, I'm just saying that they don't even give us a choice, it's all white.
Personally I use substratum and Stylish (>muhh botnet) but some people don't about this.
My question is just, why?
Another example
>>62197442
People trust white websites more than black websites.
