Let's face it:

Ubuntu is the best Linux distro.

I've been through Slackware, Ubuntu, Debian and Arch, and Ubuntu just works, mates.

I'm currently on Debian and although it is really stable it lacks support for many packages.

Soon enough I'll be back to Ubuntu, but before I do so I'll have the Gentoo experience so that I delve into the nitty-gritty of Linux before exchanging exploration for productivity.

What makes me kinda sad though is that it is now adopting Gnome as its main DE. I liked Unity a lot.

I think XFCE is the superb DE. What say you, /gee/? What is the best DE to roll with Ubuntu?

TL;DR: Is there a way to bypass FRP on a SM-G935T (Samsung S7 Edge from T-Mobile).

My mom gave my aunt a S7E as a gift, but asked me to configure it. I did and checked everything and it was perfect (at least as perfect as a Samsung bloatware device go)! Did a factory reset, re-inserted my e-mail and after that, removed my e-mail. The only thing she had to do was to insert her account, but she doesn't know anything about that, apparently. She proceed to lend the device to a bunch of people that tried an awful amount of things to use it, but they may have done a factory reset at it a couple of times and now that i have it at my hands again, nothing works and i'm locked outside it. Tried a bunch of exploits but nothing ever works. Really do not want to throw this away.

>mouse compatible
>open bookmarks with the press of two keyboard keys
>vim based
>includes adblock by default, just needs updating when you first run qutebrowser

Is there a program like Launchbox /big box but for movies that plugs posters and info from idmb? Kinda in a Netflix style format? My library has gotten over 3tb and I'd like a gui for when I'm looking through it with friends

Don't fall for the meme that is Ubuntu. If you want a justwerkz distro get Fedora, but I highly recommend starting with a preconfigured Arch like Antergos, then learning as you go since archwiki is the most comprehensive knowledge base for an OS in existence.

If you like tinkering I can seriously recommend gentoo, it's a very stable system and the support irc is great. Only con: New software takes a while to install, if you need a video editor for example you have to wait about an hour until its ready to use.
No tinkering: Mint. Easy as that. Dualbooting everything is also an option, of course

Is it possible to trade my GTX 1080 for a Vega 64? Do i add money or request some?

Nvidia will drop pascal like a hot potato when they release their next cards and i want a Card that ages as well as my 7970 and 290X did.

Thinking of getting a sub just to have a backup solution.

I think it's more cost-efficient than spending the hardware and skill (which I don't have) of setting up your own backup solution.
