>Tor browser still keeps JS enabled by default
Yes I know you can easily change it in the settings but the point here is the tor devs have intentionally left it that way by default. They claim to be about protecting your privacy but if that were true they wouldn't be setting newcomers up for failure.
Let us also take a moment to mention the fact that in the past 10 years numerous people have been caught using tor (mostly through js exploits) but in all that time no one to my knowledge has ever been caught using i2p.
>>61287263
what? It supports noscripts.
>>61287267
Doesn't matter. JS is still on by default unless you manually turn it off.
Let us take a moment to think about all the poor pedos getting vanned because they left js on.

CPUs:
No i5 unless discounted
>G4560/G4600 - Budget builds (<$500)
>R5 1400 - Cheapest quad core you can get (Ryzen 3 soon)
>R5 1500x - Good but up to 1600 if you can
>R5 1600 - Best value for higher fps gaming / mixed usage; 1600x if you want higher stock clocks
>i7 7700k - 144hz only
>R7/Used Xeon/Threadripper - Compute/Multitask/VM/mixed use; Not for just gaming
GPUs:
Coin miners have driven price up and stock down, waiting to buy a GPU might be wiser
>Integrated CPU Graphics - Desktop stuff and very light games
>GTX 1050(Ti) - Lower end budget cards, drop settings on newer games, RX560 beaten by both
>RX570 - 1080p@60~hz maxed, running most maxed older games at 100~Hz
>RX580 and GTX1060 6GB - 1080p@80hz maxed, 1440p@60hz at lower settings; RX580 better in newer games
>GTX 1070 - 1080p@130hz /1440p@60hz at high
>GTX 1080 - 1080p@144hz / 1440p@60hz maxed, 4k@60hz in a few games; Probably the highest end card you need for 1080p/1440p
>GTX 1080Ti - 1440p@144hz and 4k@60hz maxed/high in many games
RAM:
>Check your Mobo QVL before buying any RAM
>Ryzen CPUs benefits a lot from high speed RAM
General:
ALWAYS LOOK AT PRODUCT REVIEWS!
Always consider an SSD. Try buying a large SSD for what you'd pay for your SSD+HDD combined, and add a HDD later
NVMe SSDs aren't for a faster OS boot, they're for productivity/scratch disk/VMs. NVMe and M.2 are not the same thing, M.2 is a form factor.
The Ryzen lineup comes with surprisingly good stock coolers. consider using them over any <$30 cooler.
Buying used is perfectly fine for budgets (PSU excluded)

So how does /g/ stream their VR porn to their phone to use with Cardboard? Seeking is a bitch if you play the clip on your phone and too poor to buy Vive.

You would have to remove the phone, seek, and put it back.
I usually use AMD but I hear that's just barebones.
Common sense <currentyear>.
Common Sense 2017 Lite
Naming a product 'common sense' seems a little patronizing doesn't it? Does it shove full version purchase pop-ups in your face?
Can anyone post a Speccy screenshot of some absurdly expensive builds? I want to see some insane $10k builds with dual TITANs and 4 monitors or some shit. I know this is stupid and overkill, just want to see it.

Stop trying to show off, Brian.
>>61286617
Why would seeing the components listed in Speccy give you any sort of satisfaction? I'd much rather see pictures, video or benchmarks.

Were matrox GPUs memes or did they have a significant advantage over ATI and NVIDIA?
matrox was mostly used to power business applications "signs, slotmachines, trading"
>>61285836
I owned 3 of them
Matox where known to never die but they are not nice gpu's to work with.
At the time they where much slower than the others and didn't really offer much.
so really just medocre but reliable.
>>61285836
They stopped making their own GPUs a couple of years ago and just use AMD chips now, which should tell you everything you need to know.
Hey guys Massdrop has a 500g 850 evo ssd going for $159.00; $176.00 including shipping and taxes.
Right now Amazon has the same ssd going for $176.00, $191.00 with taxes and shipping included.
This is a good deal right? I'm debating weather I pull the trigger on this, any thoughts?
>>61285649
you can get 2tb Harddisk for much cheaper.

Okay, I'm in Netherlands on T-mobile. Thinking of getting the OP5 as the jelly doesn't seem like a deal-breaker to me. Also considering Honor 9, the battery seems lacking and not a fan of Emui. I've been using Moto G's and was thinking of trying something else. Should I wait for some new phones to release instead?
And no, I don't want G5.
Anyone know whether the Samsung S7 is good?

(reposting, curious if anyone's used this kb)
Peck-typing the manufacturer's default included keyboard for the common peasant.
Slide typing on Gboard for the more distinguished gentleman.
But if you're a real geeky ass nigga, and can already swipe type like a madman, you HAVE to try out Keyboard 69 (the Android equivalent of the iphone version which is officially called Nintype).
Dual-swipe typing (you use both hands) is way faster and more fun. Takes less effort as well. The android version's literally still in alpha but I can't stop using it regardless.
