Asking for my DYEL brother,
He's starting to get into fitness but he's pretty young (15) he wants to get into a gym but I'm questioning if it's too young or not.
What do you guys think?
How do you think he'll be treated?
What age did you guys join?

This problem is pissing me off. I just got out of a nearly decade long relationship and immediately started hitting the /fit/ness hard and hooking up with several different girls, and it's like no fucking general consensus on body hair for them. Some like full fucking growth beast mode, some like trimmed, and some like the shaved body...so before aligning dates with them, I always have to think about the type of girl they are and what type of bodyhair they probably prefer. I never go full beast, but I just from shaved to neatly trimmed constantly.

Coffee and get dressed then run down to the gym for 30 and run back before the world wakes up, make some food, waste some time and go through my day

So yesterday I broke my ankle, and I'm pretty annoyed since it means I can't lift.

However, is it okay to do non-machine based exercises like push ups, sit ups, crunches, lats/abs etc, if I'm not putting direct pressure on the ankle?

Or should I just suck it up and hold off until it heals?

Lifting while taking pain meds isnt really a good idea either.
You'd be surprised at home much stability your ankle offers even on exercises where the legs aren't involved.
Tldr. Don't workout if your really messed up. Take it slow.

Hey /fit/

What do you do to get over workout pains - the first ones you get, at least? Exercising always gets me so sore I want to cut myself open and glue my tendons back together and... I don't know, it's just that I'm so intolerant to pain that it drives me crazy, sometimes to the point of tears, y'know.
And it's not even anything intense; even some light jogging is enough to break me.

Everybody always says it's the "first workouts pains everybody has" but this shit has been going on forever. I try to eat well, I take walks, etc, but this shit just keeps happening, and it's not the "good feel" kinda pain, it's not "just a lil sore", it's literal "I have four burning knives stabbed into every square inch of my body right now" pain.
I'm waiting for exams to see if it's fibromyalgia or some shit... Got low iron and other 10 things outta normal, yeah, need that checked out.

Well, went real offtopic there, my bad

But yeah, do you remember your "first workouts pains"? And how do you get over them, even if they're not the first ones?
