Normally I'd get something more substantial but with working overnights right now I'm finding it easier just to make sandwich. I'm not entirely worried about my macros right now since I'm just working on eating healthy and cutting down weight.

Yeah I have some chicken breasts and some ground turkey that has been sitting in the freezer that I've been meaning to get to. Just with my current schedule it's hard for me to get really involved with cooking so I'm doing easy shit for right now.

If you work your way up to advanced calisthenics movements and stick with it for a few years with a good diet then yea it's doable.
Break parallel on squat at least. No reason to go atg outside of personal preference though.

I like to do my front squats for legs. Well, my back gives out way before my legs.

I read Iso-holds are good to get more upper back strength to stay upright. Are there any more exercises I can do in addition to these?

I train strongman exercises, and those things pound the fuck out of your upper back. Some thoughts:

1. Zercher squats (a.k.a. low-bar front squats) - the more volume the better
2. anteriorly loaded odd-object carries (sandbags, kegs, etc)
3. Round-backed lifts (sandbags and stones), doubly so if the object is then pressed above
4. Log clean and press - though this may not be tenable if you don't have access to a log
5. hand-over-hand rope pulls of tires, sleds, etc.
6. heavy farmer's carries
7. yoke carries of any sort: on the back, zercher/conan style or the dreaded overhead yoke carry

Paused Front Squats

Mid way pause Front Squats
>pause in your sticking point or where you would drop the bar due to back weakness
Constant Tension Front Squats
>don't lock out the squat and do reps in the area where you are the weakest

Do all of these for volume ~6 weeks.
I did (had the same issue)

Week 1-3
4x6 (pause)
6x6 (constant tensions)

Week 4-6
6x4 (pause)
5x5 (constant tensions)

Then I removed the constant tensions and added normal front squats

Week 7-8
4x3 (paused)
5x3 (normal Fsquat)

Week 9 I removed the mid way pause squats and went down to

2x2 (pause)
3x2 (normal)

Just took my first dose today and wanted to ask questions to others who've had experience:

1. What side effects did you notice? (I know dead sleeps and extreme hunger are two, are there others?)

2. How long before you noticed any difference to gains, strength, etc?

3. If you had liquid form, how do you get the god awful taste of what I can only assume is a mixture of gasoline and shitty vodka out of your mouth?

Started this fat cunts program 3 months ago (specifically 5-3-1 BBB) and my fucking lord has it opened my eyes to how much of a pussy ass routine PPLxPPL is. Can't believe it took me nearly 4 years lifting to finally try 5-3-1. Wish I had started much earlier.

You don't need to buy his book, you can just search the net on a basic 5-3-1 BBB routine (shit I'll ever post you one) I highly recommend this for anyone that's passed novice stage of running full-bodies and is currently running a 5 day body part split or PPLxPPL and not really enjoying the routine or seeing much results/spinning wheels. I am extremely confident that the vast majority of you who try 5-3-1 BBB will fall in love with it. I am only posting here because I wish someone had done the same for me earlier.

Note that this is not me saying it's the best routine, all I am saying is for me personally it's by far easily the best routine I have ever tried in the last 4+ years of my lifting, and I've done literally EVERY fucking mainstream routine.

I'm doing it too and I'm enjoying it. Trying to set a PR on your main lift each day is fun. I feel stronger on bench too, the amount of reps, both in the last set and 5x10 really seems to help in my case. I feel stronger than when I was doing 3x5 progression.
If you're still not super strong like me and want faster progression, you don't have to deload every 4 weeks. I do two training cycles before each deload, but you can do whatever you want.

Also the first couple of weeks of 5x10 squats when you haven't done anything like it before is hell. Especially if you have garbage cardio like me.

I like 5/3/1. Its a solid setup. But its a relatively easy routine in terms of intensity and volume - largely because it tends to assume you're doing other stuff as well and/or are as strong and beat to shit as Wendler.
