How do I castrate myself emotionally /fit/ ? I want to focus on lifting and work only. I don't want to drink anymore, I'm tired of being 'that guy' or the dude nobody thinks about twice... You need prior knowledge of Greek philosophy to understand the stoicism at least to some extend.

hey /fit/

what's the best way to get over my crippling anxiety about working out in a gym? as is, I run in the mornings before school and I do bodyweight exercises at home after school. obviously lifting weights is much more efficient, but I can't stand being in a gym for very long, it feels like everyone is staring at me and hating me for interrupting their space or something irrational like that.

should I invest in a personal trainer? should I ask my doctor for some benzos?

The basic premise of eating lots of nutrient dense foods is sound, but 80% of the research he quotes has been disproven or was designed with a bias to promote veganism.


Yeah, eat tons of vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, legumes. Knock yourself out. But don't follow his diet plans. Even for vegans they are lacking.

something i don't get

i'm skinny but all of the fat seems to go to my stomach/lovehandles

i started lifting two weeks ago but i'm not sure about my diet. should i eat around 2500 calories or more or less?

if i eat more isn't my stomach only going to get bigger?

Yes. You will gain fat and muscle. But when you cut you'll look decent. I assume you look shit now, so stop worrying about looking shit in the short term. Just don't bulk like a maniac, get enough protein, and actually fucking lift.

It might be at least partially to do with your posture. I had a really bad anterior pelvic tilt which fooled me into thinking I had quite a large stomach. So maybe work on fixing that.

If you eat maintenance with a decent amount of protein you should be able to slowly recomp. Even if you just clean bulk you shouldn't put on too much extra fat.

If you cut you're not gonna gain any muscle so you'll end up looking worse than you do now.

Im cutting and eating a lot of protein and almost 0 fat. I looked like shit but now I start to look decent. Im lifting regulary and doing a lot of cardio. Im loosing weight, but I noticed my muscles are getting bigger and Im loosing mostly fat. Mybe I just heve good genes or I'm working out really well. So I tend to have a poop once every 2-3 days, is this "okay"?

It's not like they aren't normal looking or anything, pretty typical IMO, just a day or three gap in between them.

Is there any downsides to these long in between poops? Should I try and force my self to poop more, like with coffee (I don't drink this, but I hear it helps)

I've heard that 'once' a day is considered "normal" but lets be real here, normies eat mostly shit. I do eat on the health side of the spectrum, with lean meats, lots of veggies, low carbs, never fast foods, always do my own cooking, etc. I'm also not eating at a calorie deficit or anything either, actually it's a few hairs above my maintenance.

Could these things amount to why?

Also what are your average poops like /fit/? Why do you think they are the way they are, diet, etc. Tips?

In before Cancer (unless it's an actual serious thing with poop frequency (then sheeit)).
