how the fuck do you guys listen to music in the gym?

Everytime I put my phone in my pocket it falls out. On squats, on bench, on deadlifts, on cardio, on fucking everything. If my headphones were in it'd yank them out of my ears eachtime.

How do you deal with shit sleep, /fit/?

The past 5 nights or so, my sleep has been pretty inconsistent. Maybe 1 of those nights has been a full proper sleep session, while the others have been half sleeping (I'll drift off, then check my phone and it'll be a few hours later). And tonight, I've been unable to sleep at all. It's 4 am and my eyes feel heavy, but as far as tiredness, that's about it.

I know it'll affect my gainz sooner or later, but I'm not sure what to do. I haven't really been upping my caffeine intake lately. I thought it was food related (since the 4th of July weekend had a good amount of unhealthy foods that I don't regularly eat), but after switching to more of my normal diet, it hasn't gotten any better. I'm also not particularly stressed about some things, or at least I don't think I am.

Should I start popping benadryl or something? Should I let my doctor know?

look up sleep hygeine and go thru the list. it could be a huge variety of factors. besides the obvious eat healthy / exercise, try reducing your exposure to light before bed. get flux for your computer and phone, or don't use them at all. i know that if im in a room with fluorescent lighting before bed, i wont be able to sleep. your body thinks that the artificial light is the sun, so it blocks the release of melatonin, so you dont get tired like you should

I already do lower light reading for 20 minutes before bed after setting alarms for the next day. The light isn't that big of an issue

Hi /fit/, just finished my workout and have to admit, i did a foolish thing, i pushed myself to the limit, way to the limit.

I only did 40kg bench press and i strained my right arm to the point i could not lift it up and caused a big scene, where i fell off the bench and weights collided both sides of the floor and with the bar almost hit someone nearby.

40kg is not alot, i just did too much reps, about 58 non-stop, all the way down and up to the point, i defintely struggled.
I'm rather embarrassed actually, the whole gym had their eyes on me.

Well..lesson learnt from now on, and i'm more concerned i almost hurt someone but i could have hurt myself MAJOR if i could not lift it up.

Was my act foolish? I guess my motivation and determination got the best of me.

So, about 3 years ago I developed PTSD. Ended up in 3 car accidents at 18, extreme sciatica, etc.

Gained over 60lbs, couldn't do shit, constant pain. I finally had enough this year, took part in an MDMA trial for my ptsd, and then a ketamine trial for my pain.

I started exercising again, but my hip and lower back pain was just insane. I persevered though. A month into dealing with this shit, I decided to take DNP.

I ran a 2 week cycle of DNP, and ended up losing 30lbs. Went from 260 to 230. It's been 2 months since I took it, and I'm down to 224, mainly stabilizing. Now I'm going to Take it again, and cut down to 190 once I hit 220.

Side note, DNP is not that bad. The sides are overblown by retards. Seriously, if you take DNP you can't binge. Binging is bad. You need to maintain low cals and carbs, and then don't over hydrate or you'll piss 90 times a night.

I'm stoked!
Does anyone have suggestions on lifting gear/equipment to help me increase my mobility?

Hey /fit/ long time lurker here. When I first came here 5 years ago, I was DYEL as fuck and with the help of you all I got into decent shape. My lifts used to be

Bench: 235 lbs
Squat: 345lbs ass to grass
Diddly : 405lbs

All at 185 lbs at 5'11

Well about two years ago, I finally found a girlfriend but let her get in the way of my lifting and got fat as fuck and gained 30 pounds. All my lifts have turned to shit and I was wondering if doing a beginner workout would help me get back to my old stats. Recently I've been using SL and a split but cant stick to it. I was wondering what /fit/ would think would be a good workout
routine to get back in shape?
