Sup /fit/. So, there's a new gym opening up in my town this Wednesday. I've been lifting at home now for about 5 months, but I've never been to a gym. What routine would you guys recommend me using? I planned on following zyzz's, but realized he took steroids so I'm not sure if my body can keep up with it. Also any good informational videos about gym equipment?

Gym autism?

I've started estimating the weight of my ideal gf, putting that weight on the bar, and then putting the bar on my shoulders as if about to squat. I then repeat this with progressivelyheavier weights until I barely notice the ideal gf weight. THis is all in an attempt to make holding the ideal gf on my shoulders at imagined concerts and beach volleyball games an effortless task.

I"ve been training for gf shoulder sits for about six months and feel pretty good about it.

I'm hoping someone can help me here. So I'm lost. I conditioned myself to believe that I wanted to get fit, successful, smart, blah blah blah to get women and be cool. So I'm fit, by my standards and most peoples standards although some of you will object. I did what I had to do so girls who just want to fuck like me, and have been successful recently. But what I've realized recently is I really am not interested in this. I thought my lack of masculinity would go away if I got big and made money, but it didn't. I'm just not a masculine guy. I like cute animals and girly drinks what can I say. Chances are I'm probably bi but in denial, my friends keep telling me to come out of the closet. But I really just want a qt girlfriend to go on cute dates with. What is wrong with me? Maybe I'm just imagining things but I think being smart might have something to do with it. I'm self proclaimed smart, but I'm also a PhD student in engineering and got a 330 on the gre. Please help me.

When I was in college, I had all the time I wanted to work out. 1.5-2 hours in the gym was no big deal. Now I work 9 hours and drive another hour every single day, and I just can't devote that much time anymore. What do other wagekeks of /fit/ do to get their gains in less gym time?

Find the closest gym and go there, or 24/7 if its not too far and wake up 2 hours before work, get there,loft, shower, off to work place. Gotta go to sleep early tho but more strength than after working for 8-9 hours. alright. here's the "dealio"...

my best tip for saving time, and equally making gains, is to group your workouts according to the equipment.

I still have a few things to test out, but this is how it works...

let's say you're doing arms and chest workouts, on Monday; using this routine...

>concentration curls (3 sets, 8 reps)

>decline bench presses (4 sets, 5 reps)

>preacher curls (4 sets, 9 reps)

>incline bench press (4 sets, 5 reps)

now, this seems easy to complete. straight-forward, simple... but, inefficient... let me show you and improvement to this hypothetical routine.

>concentration curls (3 sets, 8 reps)
>preacher curls (4 sets, 9 reps)

>decline bench presses (4 sets, 5 reps)
>incline bench press (4 sets, 5 reps)

do you see the improvement? categorizing your routine for the day, helps avoid moving back and forth in the gym, and from equipment-to-equipment.

sorry for my shit wording, but this was the easiest way I could've possibly explained it.
