stay in the "no lift progress zone" until you start to see your abs, then start eating a lot but very clean

you cannot gain too much fat at any time in a cut/bulk cycle, it promotes anabolic resistance

I have some basic questions that the sticky doesn't seem to answer. Bare with me for a minute.

Right now I am losing weight, been undereating calories pretty much every day. If I eat less than 2000kcal and work out, how will that affect muscle gain? iirc bodybuilders do gaining and cutting phases, but cutting is more for getting rid of bodyfat, no? I still have a decent amount of fat to "transform".

I also wanted to ask about my routine.

Every morning I do pushups and a roughly 90 sec plank. Every evening I do the same plus a lot of stretching.

I go to the gym two or three times a week. I try to always have a rest day after going to the gym.

Is that even necessary? Will it affect muscle gain negatively if I train hard two days in succession? I remember reading that the muscles take time to recover and grow back stronger.

Final question: I am very, very worried about proper form, I want to do every exercise completely correctly. I see people doing shit completely wrong all the time, tearing their muscles, all that dumb shit. Any videos on how to do basic exercises properly?

To me muscle gain is not that important, I work out mainly for health reasons. So obviously I want to have proper form so I wont damage my joints etc.

You won't gain muscle on a deficit. It's as simple as that. That's why people do a bulk/cut cycle.

I'm getting some pain in the back of my shoulder and having trouble doing OHP and benches properly now, and from what I've read online I've got a rotator cuff tear. I've got the dull pain down my arm and sitting in my shoulder, it hurts more in positions where I'm holding weight out, and I get a grinding or clicking noise when I rotate my shoulder.

Is it necessary to see a doctor for this, or can I do light excercises with the arm and try to rehabilitate myself?

I have this fat Italian roommate I can't stand.

He constantly drinks pepsi and mountain dew, smokes like 5 packs of cigarettes a day, eats only fat or sweet shit and he smells like a motherfucker.

Most of the time, he's on our balcony, yelling something in Italian to our Italian neighbor. But he never actually goes anywhere. In fact, his mother brings him "food" and groceries.

He had an heart attack like 3 years ago, but rather than changing his life, he just blames the "stress" our society puts on him.

I don't know why, but he makes me fucking angry. I don't want to be the same species as this sack of shit!

He's 5'6~ and has the form of a perfect sphere. His head is literally stuck between fat that piles up where his shoulders should be.

Anyway, here comes the twist. yesterday he asked me to help him.

I can't take him to the gym, it has to be something easier to get him started. Any ideas? If he really wants to change, he deserves this one chance!

Hold me /fit/, went on my first date in over a year with a girl and it was a total train wreck. We went rock climbing and she said "What's with your floopy hair anon? I'm not really into guys with floopy hair, get a haircut" then after we went rock climbing we had coffee and she proceeded to tell me about all the dudes she fucks and how she doesn't want anything serious and how her parents are crazy controlling and want her to have a partner who's a doctor or something successful. Currently just a salesman in retail... Not sure if it's the calorie deficit I'm on right now or all these feels but I'm fucking even more depressed right now. Going on a date was the one thing I was looking forward to and now I wish I hadn't gone. Fucking kill me fit.
