My third week working out after a long break. I was doing sitting up flies on a machine today and I had one rep left on last set. I pushed myself very hard and got instant pain in the back of my head. Underneath my skull and on top of my neck. I was very scared so I stopped my workout and went home. It still hurts and I don't know what to do. I did some research and it looks like it's an exertion headache. Pain right now is at a 7.2 and it's constant. How long till I can get back in the gym and what are some good treatments/remedies?

When I took my last break, my sitting and standing form had fallen to shit.

I was slouching way forward and it put my neck into a vulnerable position.
You probably strained your neck by flexing in vulture mode.

Is it just me or does everyone at my college gym lifts for girls? I feel like i'm the only one that lifts for myself so I can set myself up well once i enter the work force and use the halo effect to my advantage.

Meal prep is probably the best thing about getting fit, but I have a couple questions. I'm 200 lbs right now, so I have to eat 200 grams of protein. The only way I'm eating that much protein a day is eating nearly 2 lbs of chicken breast everyday. My grocier bill is right now 60-70 dollars, and I wanna lower that. If Im trying to lose weight, can I just focus only on counting calories instead of protein as well? If not, how do you guys meet such high protein requirements? Also, any general meal prep tips or recipes?

I work 3rd shift and dont start work until 1am my time. I normally wake up around 4pm. If i eat within 15 minutes of waking up, how long is a proper time to wait until i go to the gym?

Three hours is usually a good rule of thumb. But if you feel fine working out an hour after eating, do that. It's really a personal preference, not a hard rule.

Alright, this may have very little to actually do with /fit/ but you faggots all care about body image and know about body types and whatever.

I'm a fairly large person, 6'2, meso-endo and some fat but my dick is average at best. Very depressing. I have a good frame for bodybuilding, but it's discouraging to think I can get bigger myself and my dick will still be the same. What the fuck is the point. What girl wants that?

Also, I feel as if ectomorphs usually have bigger dicks for some reason, even considering the pelvic fat pad making fat peoples penises seem smaller, ectomorphs are just bigger.

If you're fairly large person and lost that excess fat and became muscular, I personally think your johnson will look even better along with your rocking bod. It's not like you're dong will shrink when you lift weights anyways. Having muscular bod with average dong is far better than being a fat shit with average dong

I have had these boils in my public area for the past couple years. Some are older than others and none of them are inflamed right now but every now and then they will be. They enlarge and become a dark red/purple filled with blood and virtually unpoppable. Once the white puss reaches the top it pops either by my doing or just on its own and then it goes back to looking like this eventually but they never permanently go away. There isnt much information online and most sites say that they resolve on their own. Not sure what to do anymore. Wondering if anyone else has been in the same situation and has some helpful advice.

Hello /fit/

After taking a break from lifting for a while I'm getting back into it. I've been to the gym 4 times in the past 13 days and have been absolutely destroyed every time.

>5 sets of lat pull down combined with farmer's carries and military press destroyed my arms.

Lats sore for 4 days, never done something to break my muscle tissue that far. My left lat was a little sore/tight for at least 3 days after that. Should I be concerned?

Anyway, I've got a deployment to Kandahar coming up in a year and I gotta be ready. My back already occasionally gives me problems as does my neck.

I'm having a tough time figuring out a routine that incorporates arms, shoulders, lats, chest that lasts under an hour. It must include bodyweight exercises.

I feel like following his are almost a cop out. Most of what he does is the same thing for an insane amount of reps.

I'll be lifting in an incremental style. 3 days a week for 1 week, 4 days a week for 2 weeks, and then probably stopping at 5 days a week.

How to breakdown muscle group by day?:
Day 1 Arms/shoulders/lats
Day 2 Back/core/hip flexors/chest
Day 3 Leg day! w/ possible core/hip flexors if not sore

That pattern seems good to me. Not going to burn my upper too much.

I'm curious about another thing. What is your motivation/source of discipline? One day my dad dared me to do something inherently stupid but also taught me a great lesson about life.

He and I like to hunt. One day when I was 17, he dared me to eat nothing except what I killed or harvested out of the woods myself. He said then I would find meaning in what my generations sees as a meaningless world. I was a decent hunter, and my 17 year old self was stubborn and cocky enough to accept his dare without a second thought. He said that from I woke up I would be on my own for food for the day and I would have to take everything I would need to survive for the day with me. At the time we were deer hunting.
