I can now finally comfortably bench 135lbs.
It may not seem like much to most of you, but I was 100% DYEL just 6 months ago, struggling with 95lbs, coming from a total elbow fracture.

What's a good way to work your abs other than situps?

I need it to fix my spine curvature.

working your abs alone isn't going to fix your curvature. If you have an excessive curve in your lower back you probably have a muscular imbalance causing "lower crossed syndrome." Look that up and ways to solve it.

The function of your abs is to resist spinal extension. Situps primarily work your hip flexors, not your abs.

Best thing to work your abs include front squats, overhead squats and leg raises.

Planks and side holds have helped me too.

New research shows doing planks isn't that good for you. If you flatten your back while you do planks it can lead to multifidus atrophy. Most people have weak multifidi anyway so this isn't ideal.

Side planks, however, are the best way to work your obliques.

It actually takes constant effort, you have to be disarming, smile a lot, and be friendly. Being big and quiet is really intimidating, but a big guy who smiles and jokes is way less threatening.
But, doing that takes effort and mindfulness.

So I went to do squats today and my lower back has been hurting but fuck it, that's what belts are for just use good form. So Im feeling good warming up and then I get to 315. My fucking lat outta no where starts fucking dying so now my lower back and my lat hurt and I went up to 365 which felt alright and then at 4 plates I could barely even get 1. Wat the fuck. I stretched out for like 10 mins beforehand why the fuck did my lat start hurting randomly during squats? I've never had lat pain like that before and it just made holding the bar unbearable
