What's the secret to getting stronger whilst still getting rekt drinking and smoking every weekend?

Drinking is not gonna stop you from getting stronger, just don't drink too many calories if you're trying to lose weight, get a light beer or just drink liquor or mixed drinks mixed with something with little/no calories (like soda water). I even fuck around with weights when I'm drunk and watching a movie sometimes.

Smoking is worse, because it's bad for your lungs so you will get worn out bu workouts easier. If you're just doing it on the weekend it's not too bad. Maybe switch to cigars or a pipe, still bad for you but you don't inhale so it won't fuck with your breathing as much. Or use Swedish snus or e-cigs, basically no downside to those.

I just feel like it kills my ability to recover and assimilate dem calories, even for days afterwards

In high school i was a 6'0" 115lb superskelly. In gym i'd usually play volleyball or something but a few times i followed my buddies into the weight room.

There was a legit retarded kid in there who would do the dumbest shit and people would laugh at him. One day he was OHPing all cockeyed and goofy looking and i thought i'd make fun of him. So i pick up a 45-lb bar, get it over my head with the intention of pressing it the retarded way he did. Unfortunately i had no clue how heavy a bar was for someone as weak as I was, and i immediately tipped to one side and went crashing to the floor with the bar. A couple jocks came up to see if i was ok, and my friends laughed at me for weeks.

The sad part is, even that wasnt enough embarrassment to get me to start lifting, which didnt occur until many years later.

/fit/ what do I do about eating food this holiday? The women in my family fly off the handle if I don't eat their cooking, but I honestly can't handle stuffing another fucking bologna cake or party salad down my throat. Please help me stay within my macros without tearing my family apart.

Whats the safest minimal amount of sleep I can start getting /fit/? Sleeping just takes too much time away. 8-9 hours of rest out of a day is too much time.

Is it possible to keep going on only two hours of sleep a day? Or maybe sleep for two hours, stay awake for six, and then repeat that for a total number of 6 hours of sleep a day?
