Has anyone been able to significantly increase their flexibility as an adult?

I'm one of these never been able to touch my toes people. I'm not fat, nor skinny. Even sitting flat with good posture and legs straight out in front of me is hard. I'm worried it affects my lifting because I can't get a full range of motion. Has anything worked for anyone?

Yeah, I almost can do the splits now, started out not being able to touch toes. Just know flexibility gains are rather slow compared to lifting gains. Look up Emmet Louis on youtube.

It's about routine. After about a week of constant stretching you'll have good range of motion.

Try doing a little stretching warmup every time before hitting the gym. Don't do static leg stretches before squats though.

I could never touch my toes, not even as a kid. Read some tsatsouline's books on mobility and got my for touch in days. It's really about learning how to stretch properly.

Brother, let me tell you something. Many a day I have lumbered here by this fence and looked at this world. These fences which border this small plot of mud seem to be the edges of the Earth. But I have gazed many beyond the fence. I have watched the hills of green and the tall, slim, terrifying figures who lurk and haunt the strange barn on the far side of the hill, who appear as spectres as the sun rises at the break of day and refill the Oats, and float away without a word. Often I wonder why we are not like them, why we cannot give ourselves the oats, why we are limited and chained down by the girth of our bodies and the uselessness of our hooves. Instead of oblivion we have the warmth of the sun and the coolness of soil. We have fair conversations and a good night's sleep. Who am I to say that these simple comforts are no better than death? Should we not smile like the sun and bask in our happiness as the sunlight warms the soil without question or thank. So brother, let us share oats and smile and frolick as much as our girth might let us. I squat in these and glide from apparatus to apparatus in them. It's really funny if I see someone about to use a machine, and I take a running start and glide gracefully over to it while looking them dead in the eye. It really fucks people off, lol

If this was true, then every single powerlifter would look like a bodybuilder.

Have you seen a powerlifting gym? Sure there's tons of strong guys there, but most just look skinnyfat/fat while being able to pull some insane numbers relative to how muscular they look.

I have a friend that specifically trains/competes in powerlifting, he is far stronger than me, I am talking far stronger, as in his lifts literally dwarf mine and make me look like a girl, and yet he just looks like some average dude off the street, while I actually look like I lift.

Honestly 500 is too warm. I felt like I was in an oven. Wet your hair, neck and ears often and you'll be fine though. Half your heat loss is done through your head. Loads of superficial blood vessels.

As someone who can't afford a gym nor has the time to go to one, can I just do push-ups, sit-ups, and running to lose weight?

I just want to get rid of my stomach. If I burn enough calories, my body will eventually have to take the fat from stomach. Right?
