I eat one to two meals a day and nothing more. I smoke a lot of weed and have been able to control my eating habits when I get high, before I used to literally go through almost my whole kitchen eating because of munchies, now I don't even care to eat when I smoke. I cut out soda almost completely, I have maybe one soda every 1-2 weeks at most. I don't lift because I hate driving so I don't go to the gym, I do a bunch of situps and pushups at home and thats about it

It’s a very simple baseline for male strength.

1/2/3/4 corresponds to the number of 45lb/20kg plates on either side of the bar when performing the 4 major lifts.

Overhead Press 1 plate on either side = 45x3 = 135 lbs
Bench Press 2 plates on either side = 45x5 = 225 lbs
Squat 3 plates on either side = 45x7 = 315 lbs
Deadlift 4 plates on either side = 45x9 = 405 lbs

Once you can do all 4 of those lifts at those weights once, you’ve achieved some degree of strength.

I need help /fit/. I've been trying to improve my range of motion on bench press. However, when I try to get the bar down to my chest I find my shoulders locking, preventing me from lifting the bar up again.

I don't really know what's wrong, any ideas?

>Started dieting yesterday
>Limited myself to one glass of Pepsi Max a day (slowly weening myself off it to replace with water & one cup of coffee at work)
>Eating cereal w/ milk at breakfast + some grapes
>A salad with fish/a slice of ham for lunch every day filled with various veg
>Dinners generally very healthy with some sort of fish/chicken/lamb/beef etc etc

This will generally be my diet for a while.

I'm going to be throwing in some hard boiled eggs into my salad for protein, and upping my milk content for protein.

Protein seems incredibly important but I am worried that perhaps I am not getting enough of it (fatty right now, looking to tone up)

I've ready the sticky rather thoroughly, but do you lads have any reccommendations to me based what I've written here?

You can't wean off soda. Quit it now. As in yesterday. Switch to something else sugary in the meantime to help with withdraw. I used cranberry juice - to each their own. Then reduce the juice slowly as it is just as bad for you, obviously. You can wean off juice. After you get off juice, never touch it again, not even on vacation.

You drink water or milk. Obey.

Also, if you make the mistake of eating too little, you will throw your metabolism out of wack and lose a lot of muscle which will further lower the amount of food you can eat. What I recommend is eating at ~500 less than maintenance and doing cardio so you can eat more. YOU MUST LIFT IF YOU WANT TO LOOK GOOD.

Fucking hell /fit/, I am in a state of rage

Started to walk again this year and spotted these today in the shower. Mid to late 2015 I started walking to lose weight. I was 250/60 at my highest but when I started tracking my weight I got 243 and ended the year at 210. Last year I maintained it and didn't do much walking or exercise as I had the year before. I ended the year at either 198-201 depending on the scale. I decided to keep up walking again. I did it for the week and didn't walk Saturday or Sunday and did again last night. I showered and noticed these spots. I'm scared it may be a cancer and would rather it be a fungus or bruise from walking. I can't afford a doc so before I even go to a free clinic, I wanted to see if anyone else experienced this. I also noticed I would get bruises on my arms after my cardio YouTube workouts but it was a rare. Now that I am eating better-more veggies and smaller portions-I am getting all this when I was a lazy slob nothing happened. I am 35, female, 5'5 and my goal is to reach 135. I want to do it in a healthy affordable manner and not depend on pills. Sorry for the long story. I am just scared. I get if you guys are douches to me, but I just want to be a healthy functioning person in society again.Thanks!
