Would you guys suggest negative reps or assisted chin-up machines to progress towards actual chin-ups? Why would you choose that method?
I find the negatives to be awkward to do in a crowded gym, but I always hear that machines are just garbage. Is that just a meme? Yes I know the best thing I can do is lose weight, but in the mean time I want to work on the muscles there to progress to real chin-ups ASAP.

Long time lurker, popped in to just say the height meme's are making me subconscious as hell to the point where I had to look up when my bones will seal preventing me from gaining anymore height, only to discover that weight lifting can have a direct influence on my height.
I'm currently 19, 180cm. A literal 5'9 meme it's not even fucking funny.
I already had such an inferiority complex that this is only making me more concerned. Apparently I'm safe for another 3 years and after 22, I'm completely fucked.
What can I do to improve the chances of gaining a few extra height points? This shit has me stressing so hard I can't even look in a mirror.
It's not only the height meme's, all the shit said on this board is giving me mental issues. I started mewing/chewing gum to try and strengthen my jaw, bleach my teeth, been looking at skincare/haircare stuff, how to promote facial hair growth, clearing backne, preventing receding hair line. Hell, I've even considered jelqing even though I was more than contempt with my dick size a few months ago.
The only thing I have going for me is that I don't have much acne (only hyperpigmentation) and I'm a literal skeleton.
Whoever keeps flaring my subconscious autism, thanks for giving me permafear of never making it, why even bother at this point?
