It's kinda awkward to ask this since this is my first time here, but I'm trying to start getting into excercise for track season in the spring. Can you guys give a basic framework of what a good exercise routine for track and field looks like?

The protein per carbs ratio isn't very good, though. You need to burn all those carbs, or you'll gain a lot more fat than you want. You could go for seitan, which is wheat protein essentially, but keep in mind that it's not complete protein. It's still missing lysine.
>>
>>42887759
1. Eating raw flour is not good for you at all, and even if you did, you'd have the worst case of CONSTIPATION you've had in your life, because it'll soak up all the water in your gut, and turn to cement down there. You might even end up in the hospital.

2. It's MAINLY carbs. You'd 'bulk up', but it'd all be fat.

3. The protein is LOW QUALITY INCOMPLETE protein. Eat meat and/or dairy!

4. You're basically saying "I can bulk up eating BREAD!". Nope.

Anyone here that ran this program? Any opinions?

For those who have the book, are you suppose to stick to one of the programs he recommend and repeat after the 4th week or change them every time?

I've never run it for a long period of time, but as far as I know, you're supposed to make the program yourself, following his template. Those 4 week programs are examples - that isn't the actual program itself.

Anyone had high cholesterol and bad ratios and successfully lowered and fixed their ratios? I plan on doing an hour of cardio every day and eating more non-meat meals like quinoa salads, lentils, beans (and absolutely no red meat). And more vegetables of course. Would appreciate any other advice. Thanks.

My advice would be to make small changes that will last you for your lifetime. Keep making small changes as you get used to the old ones and eventually you will completely change your diet and lifestyle and it will stick, instead of you changing everything at once and crashing once you can't handle it.
>>
I know I'm a cholesterollet.

My dad and my nan both have high cholesterol. I think one of my brothers does too. I need to get checked really.

Looking for advice.
>Started lifting from home ~1 year ago.
>Work super slow, only small gains, but enough so that people started commenting on it
>Sometimes goes 3-4 days even between sessions, work up by increasing weight ~2 kilos at a time
>Strength improving
>Suddenly from nothing i start getting a pain in my left forearm whenever i lift, about half way down, on the "pinky" side with my palms facing down(se pic)
>Pain goes up during lifting and then hurts the whole day, even things like opening doors with my left arm becomes painfull
>The area also becomes painfull to the touch
>Is fine 2-3 days after
>Repeat now 7-8 times.

I even ignored my arms for a month and then returned with the same thing happening. Anyone have any experience with this?
Everything from barbell-curls, pushups to bench presses hurt.

Any ideas? Never had any trauma on that arm, nor anything painfull other than this.

DO NOT USE IT

REPEAT DO NOT USE IT

IF YOU USE THAT ARM YOU WILL FUCK YOURSELF UP FOR EONS LIKE I DID

you need to unironically get some physical therapy, lie and tell them it's been months, whatever, just get in there and do that. no lifting for the next few months until it's *fully* healed. don't be stupid like me

Anyone tried Alex's novice program? I cant be in the gym 6 days a week anymore because of college, so im considering this.

Is it fine if I change some things up? Like regular squats instead of box squats, yates rows instead of pendlay rows?

>>

Just ask her out. She is a woman, they are biologically programmed to upgrade when they can. Go for it bro

The best part is you already know she is dating someone else so when she gives you that excuse it won't hurt. Atleast this way you know that you tried

/f/it/, for those of you who used to be fat/chubby fucks, what was the break through that really helped you lose weight and keep it gone?

Establishing a daily routine?

Establishing a strict list of groceries?

Calorie counting?

Working out?

EC stacking?

Intermittent Fasting?

Avoiding large meals?

No carb?

More meat?

Big breakfasts?

Reminders not to eat out at your front door?

Share what helped you.

Honestly you're gonna here a lot of varying opinions as you foresaw in your op post, and naturally it's different for everyone but I'm not gonna lie my deadlift went from 120 to 3x3.642 and I can only attribute that massive change to the fact that one time I shitposted and got quadz consider your gains sealed son

I want to start lifting again, but some bad practices back in the day (around 4 years ago), bad technique and overexercising led me to have knee pain (which leads me to assume my knees are fucked for life).

I am not entirely sure if it was the squats but theres a huge possibility they were. And I can't really conclude if it was my past lifting life what caused this or if sitting so much over the years has led me to this (is this even a thing? I dont know, I have no medical experience but please let me know).

So I MAY have fucked up knees can't squad. Back in the day I used to do Starting strenght and was really happy with it... But now what? Is there any hope for me? Can I still exercise or is there some sort of activity that will make my joints stronger?

I am 23 btw. Pls respond. Thanks.

Just do high rep low weight for as long as it takes for you to feel resistant to the damage you took.

You're young enough for your body to adapt to pretty much anything. Just go easy with it for a while and get your form down.
>>
>>42887696

Mate, its been years like this. Theres not a single day where I don't feel knee pain, now this pain is not unbearable, it feels more like "soreness", but most of my time I am sitting on the computer... which leads me to believe this pain is being aggravated by me sitting down instead of my past life.

So at some times I wonder if It will ever heal or if I actually damaged something down there.
