i think coca cola DOES taste better than pepsi, but i don't care!
pepsi is a better business, and it is still a nice tasting cola. im a pepsi fanboy. i always make sure to ask for pepsi, and if they dont have it i begrudingly pay for the coca cola. but if the place has pepsi i will always buy it.
in the supermarket i buy nothing but pepsi, and visiting a convenience store i will always buy pepsi.

Why don't you have a Pepsi.
I haven't drunk Pepsi in 10 years. Not since they did that Spartacus ad.
I'm still angry
>>7900053
what spartacus ad?
Not from America but interested in trying Buffalo food. So far the only constants I've found from searching is
>Frank's Hot Sauce
>Butter
>Worcestshire Sauce
>Vinegar
>Garlic
Do you just mix it all in a saucepan like it says and cook it that way? Any recipes for it and what to cook with it welcome too.
>>7899967
frank's is watery vinegary crap
>>7899984
It's what is in traditional hot sauce ya dip
Mix Frank's and melted butter. That's all standard wing sauce is. Mild is more butter, hot is less butter.
You can add other stuff, if you want, but there's no real cooking involved.
Beef on weck is easy to do at home. Just moisten a bun and roll it in salt, then throw roast beef and horseradish in the fucker.
Uh, I guess loganberry is one of our things too, mountain dew black label is a reasonable substitute. Crystal beach is the good stuff though.

How the hell do you make mac & cheese?

>>7899879

What are some unusual but tasty pasta recipes? I found a box of whole wheat penne in my pantry that has about two servings left and my girlfriend is coming over for dinner.
>>7899564
sun dried tomato pesto isnt too common.
what do you mean by unusual, like anything but spaghetti and alfredo? maybe something similar to a stroganoff
>>7899564
Squash.
Do something with yogurt sauce.
What do you do with lentils besides soup?
>>7899476
Kroutbierock
Cook sausage on high heat and stir it around, then add vinegar, soy sauce, and lentils. Mix and cook until sausage is cooked. Sprinkle parsley over.
>Mix it with your rice for an extra nutritious side dish.
>Prepare a spicy lentil curry.
Does anyone else get overly critical of other people's (or restaurants) food because they are good cooks?
I'm not super great at cooking, but I can already see how having an interest in food and cooking is making me have a critical view of other people's cooking. To the point where I absolutely try my hardest to hide my interest in cooking to other people so I don't come off as pretentious.
<spoiler>or am I just autistic?</spoiler>
Guess I fucked up my spoiler that's sick too.
>>7899458
It's generally not something you can be very critical of. Everybody seasons to their own taste, cooks things until their preferred doneness (my family used to hate ANYTHING but completely soft vegetables.) Some people don't like cilantro, or onions, or some thing cooked some bullshit way. You might think your way is the right way, but you'd be an asshole. (It's still fun to shitpost about though.)
You also get what you pay for sometimes. I'm sure that frozen looking waffle and chicken wings wasn't terribly expensive.
Even if clearly no effort at all was put into it, being critical wouldn't help much. They probably just don't care, so whatever. Enjoy the food for what it is and move on.
>>7899458
I think it depends on to what extent you're critical. When you're at a restaurant, especially an expensive one you're well within your right to expect good food, even great food.
When you're eating the food of an untrained home cook, just shut up and eat it unless it's raw.
Anyone familiar with this knife brand?
I picked it up from the local thrift store for $1
literally do not ask us
>>7899360
Can you point me to the line in the rules that state knife threads are banned on /ck/?
No? :)
>>7899384
This isn't a knife thread. You asked an easy to google question. Fuck off; sage.
does drinking the water that had lemons floating in it really do something healthy to you? It sounds like a lot of bullshit
Girls just do it for attention.
It's to give the waitress something to do by making her fetch more lemons
>>7899216
It gives you as much nutrition as drinking some lemon juice.
What is this and what does it taste like?
>>7899208
It's a GMO cabbage with the gene that makes cabbages green removed

>>7899438

>>7899202
It's basically a small convection oven from the looks of it
Slim Jims. Let's talk about these.
Thoughts on this snack food that seems to get people divided on their viability.

Nice snack on long road trips. Don't eat too many, though. Burning diarrhea!
ITT: culinary mistakes you've made that have almost completely ruined dishes
>used side pork in yakisoba, not realize it's pretty much super thick bacon that needs to cook a long time, get super greasy grisley meat in a greasy yakisoba
>threw my dish against the wall instead of using soap and water to clean it
I'll never try that method again.

I almost forgot to salt my shakshuka this morning. It came out a little watery because canned tomatoes. Also i cooked the eggs a little too long.
