Been making homemade pizza for the last 6 months, I am surprised with the quality I can get from a consumer oven now.
My usual dough is 65% hydrated, 4 oz (110g) of flour per pie, 10-15 minutes of kneading. I give it a 1-2 hour rise and then a 45 minute rise after portioning the dough. I like to let it rise overnight if possible.
I recently stopped using cornmeal on the base and I started to get leopard spotting on the bottom, which I was very surprised about.
What do you guys use for sauce? I take a few cloves of garlic crushed heated up in some olive oil and add a can of crushed or whole tomatoes + salt and let it cook for 30 minutes. This tastes fine but I think there is a lot of room for improvement.
I use a pizza stone right now because I'm too cheap/poor to buy a steel but I really want one.
Pic related is one of my most recent pies, my shaping has improved a lot and now they actually look somewhat like a pizza now.
Questions?
Tips?
What are some of your favorite topping combos?

I had a 'za today. The crust was sweet, like somebody had poured sugar all over it. It was disgusting.
>>7891922
I've seen dough recipes that call for sugar and I've always been confused by that.
I think some of the reasoning behind overnight rises are the carbs break down some more and the crust gets a better char from the sugars.
here's a pic of a monstrosity I made a few months ago, but even the ugly ones taste good.
R8 my gravy
(Before I took out the meatballs and mixed in the seasoned flower of course)

That looks like actual diarrhea.

Well, since all we have to go on is a digital image which we can't taste or smell, it looks awful.
I honestly have no idea what you're expecting us to say or why you made this thread.
It looks like your mom emptied her colostomy bag into a bowl.

How do I make the best grilled cheese? Or even a good or okay grilled cheese sandwich. I always do it in a pan with the top and bottom sides of the sandwich buttered, with two slices of kraft cheese.
Do it in a pan, with both outer sides of the bread buttered, using literally anything other than kraft cheese.
>>7891709
In a PAn
Hamburger buns, inside out with a little bit of butter. Use colby cheese. Dip into tomato soup.
seriously why do people choose to eat fast food when they know its not real food? all the wrappings and pathetic advertising and disgustingly pushy cashiers make fast food restaurants incredibly unappealing. dont you agree, /ck/?
>>7891642

This board is for 18+ kid
Yeah, and people should stop spamming pointless fast food threads as well.
is espresso really worth it or its just a meme?
>>7891613
If you're buying everything new, you need around $1000 to get a set-up that will be better than or equivalent to a good cafe/espresso bar.
Your grinder would probably be around the $300 mark, your machine $500-600 and another $100 for a good tamper, a bottomless portafilter and a good basket and other gadgets (I've not even included a roaster). I know this all sounds surprisingly expensive for just coffee, but don't forget that the espresso machines in most good cafes can cost anything from $5,000 to $25,000.
If you don't want to spend so much cash and you live in a big city, or near big cities, you can get really good deals on gumtree from people who got excited and fell for the meme, bought the whole shabang and then realized they're too lazy to be bothered with it and sell little used equipment, often for 1/10th the price. That's the only way it's worth doing, unless you're made of money.
Other than that, yeah, there are few things as good as a great espresso in the morning or after dinner/lunch.
If you ask if a food is a meme you're too stupid to enjoy nice things. Just stick to fast food and places that otherwise don't expect a tip; you'll be happier, and the rest of us wont have to deal with you.

>that feel when I cook breakfast in a 4 star restaurant that is part of a 4 star hotel and can get free super premium espresso whenever i want
/Ck/ why did my honey go cloudy?
Have you been heating it up?
honey crystallizes if you touch it with metal, that's what I've always been told

Your country is Germany, isnt it ?
>that brown bread

Or a nordic european country
I just put some canned things in a single slice of traditional bread. Usually sardines or mackerels. Spice, olive oil, in tomato sauce, or just in oil. Sometimes i have canned squids, i use them with this purpouse too.
Or I get a cup of Fresh Cheese, get the cheese out and drop the can contents out of it and over the cheese. Except if they come in oil.

I'll reply to your thread if you flip it.
What is it with Koreans and eating live food?
It can't possibly be relaxing and enjoyable.
You have to kill it with your teeth
Killing is relaxing and enjoyable
Asians like fucked up textures when it comes to meat. Their chicken is a clusterfuck of bones, they're always eating organ meats, they gravitate to gristle. Eating a wad of still living, writhing muscles makes perfect sense.
>>7891357
Koreans ar evil people and shoold be detroyed.
I bought some gumballs and they all have these little pellets inside and I can't for the life of me confirm what they are. The black coating comes off easily to reveal white, they are crunchy, and taste like whatever the gumball flavor is. I suspect they could be tapioca pearls, but I can't seem to find anything when I search Google. Pls help, it's driving me nuts.
>>7891265
That's spiders eggs dude
Looks like passion fruit seeds
>>7891265
Do the gumballs have an ingredients list?
>that soda is so bad for you anon
>all that sugar is going to kill you
*proceeds while sipping his milk out of a glass*
are you still buying dairy industry propaganda?
>>7891085
No, milk tastes gross and fucks up your body's ability to gain calcium and vitamin D from other sources. I use it when baking calls for it, or in a few tea drinks, but that's about it. Even then, I often use nut milks just because it tastes better.
>>7891085
What propaganda? Milk contains far less sugar than sodas do. In fact, it's approximately half the amount.
>milk drinkers criticizing soda drinkers
>kiddies squabbling with kiddies
Talk about things that never happened. Water or alcohol or you don't get an opinion.
Can we have /thick/ thread?
Look at dem pancakes

Japan was a mistake.
