Lesson learned when I poisoned the entire family with post Thanksgiving turkey soup.
I placed a still simmering 8 qt stockpot into the refrigerator to cool after removing the turkey carcass and found it still luke warm the following morning along with warm orange juice, milk, pickles, you get the picture. Small house one bathroom was 48 hours of pure hell.
So now I take zero chances. Zero
Soups, sauces, stocks, etc come off the stove and immediately are transferred into a chilled stock pot. That pot is immersed into a large sink already filled with cold water and at least 7 to 10 lbs of ice cubes. The ice bath is stirred while the hot liquid is constantly stirred to maximize the heat transfer. Goal is to get the liquid down to 50 degrees as quickly as possible (10 minutes). I use an instant read thermometer to verify (remember zero chances)!

What alot of you snobby ass, crypto normies don't realize is that when most people say "Eatin' good in the neighboorhood" - they're not just parroting a corporate slogan, they're describing a lifestyle choice.
For me, that's Applebees. A wonderfully crafted and carefully sourced restaurant where the service representatives are trained in the highest levels of customer enjoyment.

Easy one pot meals?
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
3 cans milk
1 stick butter
2 cups rice
3 lbs cut up chicken
400°
Melt butter in bottom of pan
Combine rice, soup, milk, s+p too taste, add to pan, top with chicken, cover with foil.
Cook 1 hour, stir, recover, return to oven for 30 min.
Reduce heat to 375, remove cover, cook 15 minutes, flip, 15 more.

You're gonna want to eat healthily, cheap, and filling. Some staples I would recommend:
>potatoes
>rice (in bulk)
>beans (dried in bulk)
>lean meats
>frozen and fresh veggies
>eggs
>whole grain pasta/bread/wraps
These should be the bulk of what you eat, anything else is just for flavor/variety. Learn to season/spice your shit or you will get bored quickly though. Stay away from junk, sweets, soda, even juice.
