let's assume you have the rifle (if not, buy literally any M4 with a carry handle iron sight) and full seal goggles (bonus points if the frame is black, then just rest them in your helmet between rounds to complete the look)

personally, i really like when people say stuff like that? it makes me happy especially if i'm not feeling super confident about my cosplay. i don't see how saying someone is "the best" is any different than saying someone is your headcanon, because it's still a matter of opinion and usually people are overexaggerating to make the point that they think you look really good? if that makes sense

anyways, compliments that always rub me the wrong way a little is when people say things like "i don't like the character you're cosplaying but" i don't care if you like the character or not?? that has nothing to do with my cosplay, unless you're trying to start a discussion about the series and/or character itself

I know cgl is against people undercharging for art in aa but what about extremely overcharging?
I met a semi popular artist I follow on tumblr at a con the other day and I was set on buying a print...until I looked at her prices. $25 for a big print (11x17) $15 for a small (copy paper sized) Then I asked about her buttons,$3 for a 1.25 inch, I understand $2 but $3? For such a tiny button?
Everyone else at the con,myself included was charging $15 a big print and $8-10 for a small and I would say that some of the art quality was on par if not outright better than hers, it kind of offended me as an artist. Here we all are charging reasonable rates for our hard work and effort and yet this girl thinks her artwork is with almost twice as much as the rest of ours.
It kind of left a bitter taste in my mouth.
