No FrostCon. No Con-G. No life. Is there anything fun to do this winter in Canada(Toronto)?
Generally curious about this too, anyone got anything?

Bad samefagging, there's already a Canadian general so.
Old one

This is like the fourth high-priority wishlist dress I've found this year. I thank Maki, Asuka, and the Holy Isobe every day for their generosity.
excited for my weeb shirts
This little cutie is about to be shipped out and I snagged three lenses for $28!
>bless Honeycolor and mBok
So pic related finally came out in my country and I've just started playing it and wondered if anyone else is playing?
This thread is for CGL related games in general so feel to post suggestions for games that people might like to play!
I want it so badly, it's really good and have a lot jfashion outfits
it's still not out for NA right?
I've just been playing trendsetters and making larme coords lately.
We pirated it on a japanese new 3ds because NOA still hasn't announced this for NA.
So good though, only down side is the buying center only stocks once a day in real time so you have to time travel to get more merch :/
I hope more people are playing because i'd like to talk about where to unlock all the colors!
Let's talk about really unfortunate things that have happened to our beloved frilly dresses and cosplays. I'll start.
I did a daytrip to a con a few hours away and when i was ready to leave I had to decide whether or not I wanted to take time to change out of my coord or hit the road ASAP. I was nervous about driving in my beautiful JSK but I was so sleepy and wanted to get home, I felt so pretty in it and didn't want to take it off, and I reasoned that nothing bad happens to my regular clothes when I drive, so what was the worst that could happen? Bad decision. I first noticed some resistance when I had to turn my body to look for oncoming cars when changing lanes to get on the highway, but I didn't think much of it. The next time I had to change lanes it was even worse so I made sure not to turn around as much. But the third time traffic was insane and I needed to look as hard as I could to make sure I didn't get myself killed. I heard a loud RRRRIIIP and at first convinced myself that it was just the back corset lacing coming undone, but upon further inspection the bodice had been considerably ripped from the skirt. My dress sacrificed itself for my safety. Hopefully I'll be able to sew it back since it ripped on a seam, but i know she'll never be quite the same.
What about you gulls?
>What's the worst thing that's ever happened to your lolita clothes/cosplay?
>Was it fixable?
>Ever put yourself in a risky situation and came out of it unscathed?
>What kind of measures do you take to keep your shit safe?
My stick-on velcro fell off my skirt halfway through a convention, making the whole thing fall apart (it has a huge slit open at the front). If I hadn't had bobby pins on me and been able to pin it back together I would have had to hole myself up somewhere and cry.
Last time I ever used stick-on velcro to try to save time. Never again.
A few years ago I was getting ready for my first meet and I left my coord hanging out so I could steam it after I showered.
Got out of the shower and saw my mom ironing my skirt.
"Anon, I thought I'd save you some time and iron your skirt for you!"
She'd ironed most of it fine... Save for a patch of the hem lace which has melted holes where there wasn't cotton.
You couldn't see it from far away but I sadly never felt brave enough to wear it again and ended up selling it not long after.
>>8775747
Oh man, these are the saddest stories to me....someone thinks they're being helpful and inadvertently just makes things worse. Did you wear it to your meet at least?
Hey guys, where could I find white mascara and what products are the best? It must make my eyelashes completely white for my cosplay.
>>8765807
Mascara primer is usually white, what cosplay are you doing?
>>8765810
Shiro from Deadman Wonderland
>>8765813
I had a feeling it was that.
Btw i would recommend colouring some false eyelashes white as well, with light lashes they will get lost on light skin tones.
Couldn't find one in the catalog, so new lens thread. Please share photos, reviews, and recent purchases!
Honey color is having a end of year sale, and I'm in the market for some new lens. I have blue eyes and need pink lens, if anyone has good suggestions or recommendations I'd appreciate it!
>>8765718
I recently bought the lens in op pic related https://www.honeycolor.com/beaucon-jewels-pink
They should actually be arriving in the mail soon. I can do a review of them then if you'd like OP.
>>8765725
That'd be wonderful anon!
>>8765718
Is Honeycolor's credit card processing actually working again? It seems like it keeps going up and down... it didn't work for me during their black friday sale but I haven't tried since then.
What do you think of cosplayers who use too much photoshop?
they are boring and their fans don't know what a human being looks like.
what about you, OP?
Is that the thing that claims to be MtF?
I don't understand why people do this. I photograph terribly and one of the most common things people who have seen me online say when they meet me IRL for the first time is "wow, you look so much prettier in person", I would be so fucking horrified if I knee people were thinking the opposite like with the types who shoop.
Let's start this off with this cringe worthy duo
the pink haired.. thing. is suppose to be Punk ChibiUsa according to Hitomi
>>8755201
lol did they take this when she was about to sneeze?
Are the official measurements of something you are looking to buy ambiguous? Wondering if that non-shirred OP will look flattering or fit well? Curious a particular clothing run you are interested in is true to advertised size?
Request detailed sizing info on pieces and there might be an anon who owns it that can fill you in.
Please don't derail with things like:
- ewww fat
- how do I lose weight?
- is this a good binder?
- "Skinny lolitas don't have problems with fit"
etc.. Things of that ilk.
Try to be as informative as possible and help other gulls out.
I will start this off. Looking for info on AP's Twinkle Ornament JSK. The first time I saw it I really liked it but the sizing on lolibrary left a bit to be desired so decided not to risk it. However it has been popping up on Closet Child a bit recently and I'm starting to want it more. I can see from the pics that it has shirring and lacing but the lolibrary measurement just says "about 89". Can any anon measure it to find out the max bust and waist? I would appreciate it greatly. And maybe the Min as well with the lacing tied all the way closed in the spirit of filling in the blanks for small anons?
Haenulis sizes are huge, I got a Medium like I always do, and thought it'd be too small but nope. Huge, even though I looked at the sizing charts and everything
Fancy Box Shoulder Frill JSK is listed as 92 cm bust, but really goes up to at least 97 pretty comfortably. If one were to max out the shirring I'd guess it's closer to 100 cm.
Can we get another gyaru thread going? They die so fast, but I love them so much.
Where is the best place to sell gyaru clothing? And how much does the luckypack trunks/bags go for? I'm thinking of selling everything I don't wear anymore as a huge lot
>>8742293
What are you selling anon? I might be interested.
>>8742293
I'm interested in buying as well. Feel free to shoot me an email

Post your favourite Christmas/winter lolita outfits!
We did one of these a while ago and I liked it.
Pic related: Please stop being shocked that my products have a price
Going to be the first to say no matter how many times it happens I will never get used to people asking me for a custom, going through the whole commission process with me (price quotes included), and then backing out right as I ask for payment. If you don't have money set aside stop wasting both of our time. And teenagers who want to commission me, don't let on that they're underage, and then tell me something like "sorry, my parents said no so I can't anymore but maybe for my birthday " after a lot of back and forth.
>>8728678
I hope you ask for payment early
>>8728944
I don't officially start a project without it. But it's still aggravating to go back and forth working out details (size, materials, price, etc) for a commission that leads to nothing.
Tell me about your lolita friendships. Like, the ones you're close enough to to hang out with other than just at community meets.
>how did you meet?
>what are your substyles?
>how big of a role does lolita play in your friendship?
>do you ever do "lolita" things like have tea parties, go to cons, or shop at lolita stores together?
>do you ever twin? If so, what's your favorite dress to do it in?
>are you more or less "equal" in lolita (both as good at coordinating with no big difference in wardrobe size) or is one of you well behind the other?
>is there ever any tension or jealousy related to lolita? (for example bitterness over one of you having a more impressive wardrobe or being more popular in the community)
>what advice would you give about being friends with lolitas?
Why is Kamikaze Girls so good?
>>8771710
is it worth a watch? haven't seen it yet.
>>8771718
It's pretty amazing. Especially watching it now because the bad old school coords are more of a novelty. Some of them are really cute, though. I watched that movie for the first time in like eight years a few months ago and actually liked it more than when I first saw it at 15.
