ive dropped out of college, moved in with my parents, work a minimum wage job, and have about 3k in my savings account. i have no skills and no credentials.
if you were me, what would you do with your life?
Look for jobs in your local area. Browse online job boards, local company websites, even craigslist. Apply for anything you feel remotely qualified for.. or get qualified in your free time.

IT certifications. CCNA, microsoft bullshit, comptia bullshit. Apply to a billion help desk jobs and luckbox one of them, get certified while you work there.
military. Lets face it you lack discipline. You deserve to have someone screaming in your face 24/7 for your paycheck. Hopefully you qualify for a position in the military that has use when you get out: mechanic, chef.
I have an idea and some general plans for something I would like to prototype. It would be way more cost effective to find a local shop to build a prototype for me then to buy all the wood shop / metal shop equipment to build it myself.
Do I contact the local Chamber of Commerce?
A manuf. is going to want quantity I assume and it would be overseas and not worth my time & $.
a local shop would work... but "shop" sounds so general.
What is the actual definition of what I am looking for?
Google: carpenter <zip code>
Wow such magic
Find someone local on Etsy making something similar

if you take risks
you will always work for someone who doesn't
*ftfy
>wait until coworkers leave
>consistently fuck with one guy
>go through his desk
>steal his shit
>log onto his computer
>fuck with his files and input incorrect information in his data entry
>file for overtime for staying late to sabotaging your coworker
Boss man thinks I'm better than him already and I'm almost completely sure that he's going to lose his low managerial position and I'm going to replace him. What I've been doing has been making him paranoid. Apparently he has even taken days off to see a doctor and I'm almost sure it's because he thinks he has amnesia or trouble concentrating because of what I've been doing to his workstation. Lately I've also been taking office supplies from other people's desks and stashing them in his desk as well. I've been considering planting drugs in his desk too.
>>1565733
>brilliant
when you get his job can I have your old job?
>>1565733
Lmao good post
>>1565733
What's despicable is that you're not only sabotaging this guy (which is maybe justifiable), you're also sabotaging the company.
For those of you who work in an office: how often do you do actual work as opposed to pretending to be busy?
How often do you show up drunk to work? For me it's at least four days out of five.
>>1565705
Who dat qt in the pic, op?
>>1565705
Six hours of work for 8 hrs of pay. Don't show up to work drunk to often. But I'm always nursing s hangover. Drunk like 2 days a week. Used to drink at work sometimes, but cut that out
>>1565705
I do actual work every single day. About 8 and one half hours daily. Salary, so nothing really matters.
I don't drink alcohol at all. I consume massive amounts of fruit juice, though, and I work 2-3 days each week after sleeping only 3-4 hours.
I occasionally take a nap during my lunch break.
I'm being forced into a major change in my role at work, along with the rest of my part of the organization, and I am contemplating telling them tomorrow that they need to plan to move forward without me.
They're merging our traditional and digital marketing teams, making us be experts on both. I don't have any traditional experience, and am the most junior person on the management level. However, I have been tabbed by our SVP to run our biggest market because he thinks I have "the most potential."
That they're willing to hand over millions of dollars to my management is a huge compliment, but I'm not capable of this.
I guess the question is, should I keep this gig and let everyone see me fail miserably, threatening my long-term career chances, or advise them I am no good for this and likely end up being let go?
This is a classic dilemma
> reorganization
> they want me to do a whole bunch of different things I maybe can't even do
What it comes down to is: $
If a job is gonna change everything and expect you to do different shit, than that job should pay you more, or at least have potential for a bunch more money in the immediate future.
But if your job market is great you can also jump ship.

If you've got a big thirst, and you're gay....

If you're planning on quitting anyway, why not give it a try and see it you can do it? The worst thing that will happen is that you'll get fired. Although it will very likely not come to that because you need to fuck up pretty badly to be fired for incompetence. What's more likely to happen is that you're going to go through some growing pains and you'll get yelled at a lot in the beginning until you learn the ropes through trial and error.
Do they actually teach you shit? Do they ensure a job?
Current HS senior and have the ability to go to Uni or one of these after HS, know a bit of coding but not much
Probably a meme. I'm not a CS or anything but I did take some coding in college. I took 'Introduction to Python and MATLAB.' It started with "Hello World" and ended with doing some pretty complex mathematics and algorithms. The normies that go to these bootcamps generally don't like heavy math. Take some of the free courses at MIT Opencourseware and see if you like actual CS before wasting money at a bootcamp
Friend of a friend did it.
I think he did a year of hardcore courses and then immediately got a job paying $60k a year.
So I think it's legit if you work hard.
>>1565602
A friend of mine did a 5 month bootcamp with zero experience and afterwards was immediately hired by Google.
She was a she though and tech companies hire any female coder regardless of skill.
Marketing is immoral.
Prove me wrong.
marketing is completely natural

b-but how will people know they want to buy a product of I don't tell them they need it?
You'll never be forced to absorb information or look at something.

Hey /biz/ are there any jobs that one can get quickly and easily? My work history is lite.
I keep trying retail but I fucking hate it so so so much
I don't know what else to look for
>>1565536
Try the restaurant business or become an office assistant
>>1565572
Restaurant would be just as bad as retail no?
Office assistant sounds ideal. Is it possible to do that part-time? How should I search?
>>1565621
Be a dishwaaher, not a "my salary is 90% tips" waiter. Ezpz mode until you realize how bad your standing form is and how much your knees down hurt.
Any predictions? Thinking about buying more stock tomorrow or waiting for a further dip.

Here's an anecdote.
My sister's boyfriend in a franchisee at a large department store. He says that by far the item that they get the most returns from are fitbits, because they're broken or just because it's within the refund period. He also says nearly everyone exchange it for cash or store credit, not a replacement.
Fitbit had a lot of hype when it IPO'd, but now the interest is dwindling and they have a lot of competitors. The price is probably where it should be, don't expect a rise back to what it went public at unless you have some kind of insider information.
I need some tax questions answered, please help if you understand I don't want to get raped by the govt, when it is tax time
This year, lets say I made 50k exactly, and I paid roughly 15-16k in taxes throughout the year. They taxed me at 25% and took out less than 20k in taxes
Do i still have to pay federal/state tax come tax season? Am i not understanding something here, why would they take money from me if they already took more than 15k throughout the year!!!
reeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
>>1565501
There's state income tax, federal income tax, property tax, etc. More than just what comes out of your paycheck. Go to a CPA and have them figure out what you need to pay. Worth the money my man.
I don't understand this at all
If I made 50k this year
They took 15k+ in income taxes
Why would I have to pay anything additional? They take 1500 a month in taxes from each pay period...
>>1565535
>Why?
To fund infrastructure, health care, social security, defense and international security, safety net programs, and interest on national debt.
Is he right?
Is Marijuana done for? Are these meme mj stocks done?
