I'm 23. Should I even bother about buying a house if I don't plan on living in the country after 35-40 years old. I'm a truck driver and save 90% of my income. My family keeps telling me to buy a house and settle down. Why should I when I'm only working until I can save enough to move to a 2nd world country and live free.
>>1564792
What country are you planning on moving to?
OP, if you're comfortable in your living situation and are truly saving 90% of what you make, I wouldn't worry about it.
But if you want something more stable, buying a house isn't the worst thing, especially if it's in a metro area where you can sell it after building equity. If you change your mind about leaving the country, you'll have a place to stay, possibly debt free by the time you're ready to retire.

Considering Panama, as long as it doesn't get worse in the next 10 years. Really hard to predict right now. But I won't be staying in America. With automation and capitalism, it'll be the top 1% rich as fuck while the 99% jobless and on universal income living like animals.
How would someone go about starting and growing a holding company, without already having millions of dollars?
Why would you need millions of dollars? Just start a company and let that company also start a company and done.
>>1564791
Wouldnt you need money for the second company to actually do something?
>>1564797
You don't need to do anything. It's just a legal structure.
First midterm for microeconomics tomorrow lads.
Any tips on what I should do as an Econ major that could increase my chances of getting hired in the financial industry?
I have strong maths skills so I'm not the usual STEM washout, but I'm only B-level in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology.
I'm especially interested in getting a job in Forex, if that'd be possible, but I'd honestly be happy anywhere in the financial industry to be honest.
What kind of school do you go to?
>>1564776
It's not an Ivy, so I'm not sure what my chances are of getting hired at a big firm like Goldman, but it's somewhere in the thirties for nationwide ranking.
>>1564782
Do big firms recruit at your school? That's the easiest way.
Anyone know anything about commercial fishing enterprises? I'm not talking deckhand, I'm talking purchasing/leasing quota, buying a boat, and hiring a crew. Beyond having to invest a large sum of money, what other requirements are there?
There's an assload of money to be made and the oceans are in great shape unlike the media wants you to believe.
>>1564729
The only people making big bucks doing this are running rigs way out of your price range anon. Don't get your business ideas from reality tv u dumbfuck.
It's a gamble. People who are in the industry are there because they are passionate about it, not because they're Jews.
>>1564781
For less then cost than an average house you can easilly get a 70 foot or longer vessel that can work in all kinds of conditions.
And I didn't get the idea from reality TV, I got it from watching boats come in to the dock and offload their catch.
Why are there no subsidized trap houses?
Why are there no subsidized knee pads?
>>1564706
They're called mental hospitals anon
stupid question, theres lots of subsidized trap houses.
How much money should a household make to be considered middle class? Before taxes.
who cares, middle class is a meme. everyone and their mother calls themselves middle class. the cut-off is usually just below what you earn.
i think going by jobs is more useful. doctors, lawyers, upper management - that's middle class.
>>1564688
I wouldn't group lawyers in with that, they're broke as shit these days. This ain't the 80s
50-100k is middle class.
National avg income is 50 some.
What if you extinct a creature down to 2 remaining creatures then keep them for 10 years making them super valuable and sell them for millions? The last 2 species of that creature on earth

>tfw you invested your life savings into ETC
you are fucking retarded
a moron could see it was going to pump then dump, i saw it at $0.30 but didn't have any money in btc or would have bought then would have sold at about $1
just think if you were Barry Silbert lol.. that dipshit probably invested a lot more then you.. and he bought the top too
>>1564592
It looked like a pump and dump but then I saw a bunch of promising news coming out about it so I went balls deep. It was probably just the whales manipulating the news looking back.
>>1564917
I did the same thing. Went all in.
Now I can only hold
>been saving up for afew weeks so I can invest money
>finally put my first 100$ in this morning based on biz advice
>already lost money
The market is nothing but a meme

You should have dropped that money into one share of Disney and one share of JC Penney. Disney would net you $20 by the end of the year. JC Penny might be total shit, but it's only $8 per share and apparently it's going to turn things around.

Portfolios arnt judged on one day. Try one year at the least. Daytrading is different but you dont have the capital to squeeze profit out of volume
How do I go about selling custom t-shirts on my own website?
I DuckDuckGo'd for advice, but all these tell me to buy blank shirts and then print the designs on the shirt. Others tell me to buy fabric and sow my own shirts.
I dont have the equipment to do that, nor do I have the money to buy expensive equipment like that, nor do I even have the time to sow my own shirts.
I know there exists websites where you can just upload your design and then order the shirt, but I am not sure if I am them allowed to sell them on my website because of copyright / royalty reasons or whatever. (The design on the shirt is completely my own, except for the blank shirt)
I dont even know how many I am going to sell. I expect maybe like 10~30 shirts. So investing in bulk is not worth it. (The shirts are just complementary to the other products on my site.)
What do?
Bumping, interested
>>1564527
thanks anon
Bumping too, very interested
Can we talk a bit about professional e-mail addresses?
Obviously an e-mail meant for professional use should be limited to your name when filing resumes and use your company's domain name ( if they have one ) when work is involved. Focusing on the prior of the two, what fields of work would or should one have their own domain name when engaging companies( [email protected] vs johnb.smith@[customdomainnamehere].com )? Is it okay to use your birth-year in such an e-mail address? Which domains should one avoid?
I have a firstnamelastname@gmail for professional use and then my [email protected] for signing up to websites, video games, and other stupid shit.
>>1564445
I think my name must be more common than I thought because everywhere I go I sadly am finding my name is in use using your formula.
Why aren't you renting to section8 housing? Afraid of helping out struggling refugees? Scared of all the cash you'll be raking in?
I don't have the initial capital to buy property.
>>1564349
Because I know basically nothing about it. Can't be involved in every scheme.
