It is fucking painful listening to this bitch talk. Her accent makes me want to rip her tongue out, rip it into two pieces, and use those halves as ear plugs so I never have to listen to her dickthroat marble mouth again.

Why is she still fed chair? She beats around the bush so much, she has no idea what she's talking about.

hey /biz/, international business major here.

I've been considering switching my major in accounting as I've failed to do research previously on my current and other FAME majors. i blindly chose the major as i was interested into foreign exchange to America and possibly getting a job in the entertainment industry. Now I've realized that the degree might be worthless and currently have an Accounting class which I really like the most.

Should I switch my major into accounting?

I forgot to say that any procedural in my uni is a pain in the ass so I'm scared they'll deny my petition or worse that I'll have to take the exam or some classes again, i already switched my major from video production in where I attended to some classes from the general tree branch classes of the uni so it'd be frustrating to start all over again for the second time.

Are you willing to get an internship?

Are you willing to get a master's degree?

Are you willing to study 300-400 hours for the CPA exam?

Are you willing to deal with principles that change more constantly than a programming career?

Are you willing to make ethical decisions that could affect your employment or criminal record?
>>
>>1567018
Can you tell me details about the criminal record?

Hey /biz/

What's a good work laptop?

Should I purchase a work laptop with worse sspecs or a gaming laptop with better specs at the same price? It will mainly be used in an office and for typing, video calls, and watching movies.

My budget is around $1000 give or take a $100.

I want a good keyboard, good display, solid build quality, and good touchpad. I want it to last. Thunderbolt ports are nice.

You should probably ask /g/
>>
>>1566817

I would, but I think they hate consumer related questions.

This is for business.
>>
I would get a "normal" business laptop.
Gaming stuff is always bloated with software nobody needs and sacrafices battery to run the big GPUs.
There is a reason good business laptops cost as much as gaming laptops.

If a government has the power to create money, why does it still demand taxes?

Because a bunch of jews fabricated this meme called economics, to keep them rich and poor people poor. It's a bunch of made up theories and bullshit.

This is basic shit, nigger
>>
>>1566718
Because just printing money and spending it would harm the private spending power of the people who hold vast sums of that money. In practice either the government brings in money by taxes on incomes or the government issues bonds and borrows back the money it issued from the wealthy private owners of it and promises to pay them back secured guaranteed interest on it.
The point of government is to protect the vested interests of the rich against the poor and to do that they need to control the money supply and make sure money stays scarce enough that the majority remain dependent upon money lenders.

>Wherever there is great property, there is great inequality. For one very rich man, there must be at least five hundred poor, and the affluence of the few supposes the indigence of the many. ... Civil government, so far as it is instituted for the security of property, is in reality instituted for the defense of the rich against the poor, or of those who have some property against those who have none at all.

Is it dumb to work for money, or should I just work for experience?

Ex: I could be some data entry for pissant tech company, or I could work for a franchisee and learn their business, and start my own franchise.

Tech company will pay $25 an hour
Franchisee will pay $10 an hour.

Robert Kiyosaki says you should work for experience.

Help me understand Contract consideration more. I just got a 50% on a quiz in my law class because the wording here is confusing. Don't terms need to be agree'd on for consideration to be valid? In the last question here doesn't the woman have a pre-obligated duty to help, regardless of what is said (without being written on paper)?

So the preacher one doesn't work because you need a bargained for exchange to be consideration, it can't have already happened, or be a gift.

The parachute works because you had it.
>>
>>1566700

So mere acceptance can constitute as consideration? ( regarding the parachute one)
>>
>>1566684
1. consideration occurred as J performs a service in exchange for A's $300. Basic consideration, does not need anything else.

I give you 5 dollars to walk across the jew york bridge. That is a binding oral contract for performance.

2. No consideration as essentially a gift, you can't have someone's past performance as consideration

3. Obviously works as money to do or not do something is consideration for a tasks performance or non-performance.

4. I remember my prof saying something like: if someone is dying in the desert you could probably contract with them for water. For the purposes of consideration I would consider that to be true.

This has it as B is asking for performance in exchange for $500, so basically questions one with new facts.

>>1566700

I am looking for a part-time job, doesn't matter which job, could be flipping fucking burgers but I have a 2year work gap because of school at the moment.
Now I was thinking. What if I lie and say I had a semi-decent job?

>Put X job in my work history
>create a fake company (website.logo.phone number etc ...)
>put it as a reference
> If they call and check the website, my brother picks up the phone and confirms my lies.
what can go wrong?

This is a service in Australia used by employers to check employment history https://cvcheck.com/employment-screening

There's almost certainly a service like it where you live.

However, these kinds of products are generally used by large businesses and government agencies, so you can be fairly sure they won't use it you're applying for McDonald's.

I say go for it. Make sure you nail the interview though, because that's the part that counts.

What do you do, serve? I came from the restaurant biz and just made it into IT, also am 24. You're not too old, you can escape just like I did. Answer these questions so we can help you out:

What savings do you have?
What's your usual work schedule?
How much would college cost?
Have you looked at bootcamps or online courses?
Why do you want to be a programmer?
>>
go to welding school, become a welder, make big bucks
>>
>>1566385
I have enough savings to almost pay off a failed semester when I was 18 and try again. This time as a non hipser towny fuccboi.

Schedule is literally off at Tom everyday go in at 8.same Two off days.

I'm in Cincinnati so our state college I like 7 grand a year I think? Right now I'm learning as much as I can from YouTube vids and a notebook I'm learning in and writting in l. Today I'm going to install my first interpreter and try to get SOME hands on.

Od like to be a programmer because it seems like a difficult position not easily achived and I want to be respected in a actual position. Something you need training it :)

I wouldn't get involved with it.

I started drinking Red Bulls my freshman year of high school. Started as a normal habit, but gradually I've become a mess. I have to drink them at least once a day and they usually don't do much. I think I might've gotten more hyperactive since taking them, since I did addy once and it seemed to generally work for me so I'm considering getting a prescription.

Morning all. I've noticed the vast popularity of Robin Hood on this board but does anyone use any other brokers? The guy that takes care of my work's stock options and 401ks recommended Ameritrade. Does anyone have any good comparisons or experiences?

I use Streetsmart Edge due to my broker being Schwab. It's relatively simple to use and the user interface is nice and clean.

I used to use Thinkorswim when I used TDameritrade as my broker. In comparison to Streetsmart, ToS is a little "clunkier" with the interface being more cluttered. Thinkorswim feels like a trading platform you would see back in the early 2000's, honestly. Not really outdated, just sort of "retro."

What kind of trading are you into and how do the two compare data wise? Thanks for the info anon, it's appreciated.
