My heart is full of love for nature /an/. So much so, I cannot help but feel it is overflowing, and I should do something that signifies my love.
To put it bluntly, I kinda want to fuck this planet. How would I make this a reality? I was thinking of finding a gentle river with a sandy beach, that can be dugged into, making a hole for my sex, and humping it until I release my fertile seed into the planet's outer crust.
I'm pretty sure I have some kind of a paraphilia but I don't care! Earth is simply...beautiful. I will have her, one way or another.

I work with old people and there's one coffin dodger I'm worried about (family never visits, too frail to go outside) and I think a pet would be great for them.
The pet in question would need to be low maintenance but still capable of providing some comfort so dogs and fish are out of the equation.
Any recommendations? Maybe a bird or rabbit?

I wouldn't get anything that could vaguely get damaged mentally from having to be rehomed when the old person kicks the can. Def no a bird. Birds can live for decades and I have no idea how well they handle getting a new owner.

A few hours ago I caught our puppy playing with this bug. Of course we saved it and took it outside.
Does anyone know what kind of bug this is? We just recently moved to Portugal so I don't know what kinds of insects live here and if these bugs are common or not.

If she even so much as mistakes the sprinklers for rain she'll start shaking and will shit or piss the house rather than going outside. We've tried everything in the books to get her to stop associating rain with fear but with no luck. Ignoring her didn't work, giving treats when it rained didn't work, forcing her out into the rain while we stood next to her in it didn't work, penning obviously didn't do shit, and it all just seemed to reinforce her fear response. Thing is, she's never had a physically traumatic experience involving water so we're not sure how to go about reconditioning her.

Have you tried a Thunder Shirt? It is a tight fittint dog shirt designed to reduce anxiety. It doesn't treat the underlying anxiety, but it can reduce their stress. I would give that a shot, and if it does not woek, then consult with a professional behaviorist.

I have seen thunder shirts work. But I have seen them not do much. I guess it depends ultimately on the dog. Some absolutely do not like it. I guess if it doesn't work, you could always take it back.

So I know how /an/ loves fix my animal threads, especially involving cats. I'm more hoping to get some info and kill some time as I stay up at 2ish in he morning with the inevitable outcome.
So story is, I got 3 kittens as fosters. They managed to live in the shelter for 2 days with bare minimum care, but one was really struggling. I take them home, the two are BAR, eating on their own. I try to syringe feed the straggler. I go to bed, they are all walking on their own ( although straggler is wobbly) and are all cuddled together.
I wake up to a kitten howl, expecting it to be straggler. Nope, it's one of the kittens that was normal when I went to sleep. He can't stand, he can't even keep his head up. I can syringe feed some food, but he doesn't always swallow. His siblings were sleeping on him, I don't know if that would have caused it. His breathing is too hard for me to feel for a heart beat, and one of his legs I can not bend, it's stuck in an outright position as if he had already undergone rigamortis.
I was planning on just taking the straggler back to the shelter to see the vet tomorrow for fluids, but if this guy makes the night, I mine as well bring the whole gang. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions to help him, or something that I might not thought of doing. I really just wish I knew what was going on.
Pic related, how I found him. 3 hours earlier he was a fluffy, playful kitten and now he looks like he's dying.

Dogs, unlike cats, can actually process paracetamol, but that doesn't make what you did any less stupid. If you gave a cat 250mg, it'd die. If you're worried, go to the vet.

I would call your vet. I don't know if inducing vomiting is still an option. 500mg sounds like a shit load for such a small dog. Be prepared to need to take him to an emergency clinic though. Wouldn't be surprised at all if that is what the vet told you to do.
Hey /an/, I found a little brown field mouse about a week or so ago, with ticks covering it and very apparently killing it. I pulled the ticks and killed them all, but now his teeth are growing into his gums, I managed to trim them back a little, but not much for fear of hurting him, WTF do I do to make sure this fucker live? I will not lose this battle
