Hello /an/,
I found this guy on the wall. What is it and should I proceed to kill it with fire?
>>2172881
It's a shield bug. It kinda looks like a Tessaratomid. Where do you live?
>>2172887
Malaysia
>>2172890
That explains it then. It's a giant shield bug from the family Tessaratomidae. They're big and colourful and harmless.
>internet says that to train a cat to stop meowing all the time for food, you should ignore him
>when my cat is ignored, he gets stressed out and regurgitates his food after he finally gets it
help
Your cat is eating too fast. Do you feed wet or dry? If you are feeding dry, wet the food down before giving it to your cat. Dry food swells up when your cat drinks.
>>2172878
Wet, expensive raw food shit actually. He's a very high maintenance little creature that starts getting worked up two hours before his feeding time, and he's chubby I'm trying to put him on a diet besides that
He could have worms or some stomach problem. Or he could just be an asshole.
Vet if you can or notice anything else. Keep ignoring him otherwise.. it sounds like he's not gonna starve and he'll hopefully stop.
Does anyone know what sort of spider this is? I found it in my house

help me identify this moth
I have two guinea pigs and zero friends.
I'll stay away from my house for 4 days (from Friday afternoon to Tuesday afternoon) and I'm not really sure how to handle them in my absence.
I thought I could clean their cage VERY WELL before leaving, and give them more water and more food... but the problem is that they eat everything I give them immediately. They don't save anything. So I'm very afraid they could eat everything and then they'd starve for 3 whole days.
Any suggestions? I have no-one to ask, no friends. no family, otherwise I'd ask someone to bring them food.
Thanks guys.
>>2172716
Water/cleanliness isn't an issue.
Load up their cage with hay? and have food poking through the bars so they have to work for it.
3 days isn't so bad. Esp if you feed them right as you leave and then the second you get back. So it's really only 2 actual days assuming they eat absolutely everything in the first hour.
>>2172722
>So it's really only 2 actual days
I feed them on Friday before leaving and on Tuesday as soon as I get back. That's 3 whole days, not two.
>has no friends
>but still going out of town for some reason
Checkmate OP. We can see through your lies
So me and my roommate are liberating a dog from some not so good conditions and we can't figure out what breed she is. Closest we can figure is a mutt mix of Irish Wolfhound and who knows what else. Any ideas? Her hair is matted and she is in need of grooming so we are taking her out tomorrow.
So you stole the dog from someone? Instead of being a thief you could have called the authorities and not been such a huge fag but OP gonna OP I guess
Twice now, I have stepped on a roundworm. My new kitten decided it was about time to show it had a bunch of worms in him by vomiting them out throughout the house. The worms are about 3-4 inches. I'm already worming him, but now I am worried about myself.
The cat is going through the playful biting stage and my hands look like they've been attacked a cheese grater. I wash my hands more then the average person does, but how likely am I to get the worms? I know he's liked his ass before attacking me, so now all I can think about are eggs hatching in my skin and unleashing flesh-craving monstrosities.
Keep your hands washed. Roundworm tranission is via consuming the eggs, found in feces of infested animals.
Even if you get them, as a healthy adult you aren't likely to have much of a problem from them. It's mostly infants, the elderly, and those with obliterated immune systems that really need to worry.
If you think you may have them, talk to your doctor for a blood test. If it comes back positive, you'll be given anti-helmentic drugs to kill them off.
Roundworms are fucking disgusting.

As a healthy adult my immune system can kill the worms?
>ITT breeds/animals that used to be popular

are pot bellied pigs still popular?
>sitting at computer
>this fucking fly keeps buzzing around my head
>after a while, I get pissed and grab my electric flyswatter
>zap that motherfucker
>it somehow escapes and flies away, even though I saw the thing spark
>it later lands back on a wall
>zap it good this time, it lands on the floor, seemingly dead
>I could swear I heard a noise when I picked it up and dropped it in the trash
>drop something else in the trash later on
>hear an angry buzzing sound
I think I've discovered some kind of mutant super fly, and I've made it mad.
>>2172610
Guess it's time to bring out the torch.
>>2172610
These things don't work that well on flies and bees and stuff. Just use it for mosquitoes only. Get the fly to fly out by scaring it toward a window with a magazine or something.
I took a picture of this bird today. Does anyone know what it's called?
>>2172604
Where did you took that pic? Ecuador?
>>2172605
Colorado

Looks like a Nycticorax nycticorax. idk your pic looks blurry
Do dogs notice when a dog they've known for years died?
It isn't a recent thing, but I used to have two dogs. One of them died due to a tumor in her uterus a few years ago.
The remaining pupper didn't seem to mind too much, but we've noticed that he became much more disobedient, started barking non stop to people on the street(he barely barked before), started pissing inside the house, stuff like that. Previously, both dogs had free access to the inside of the house and they'd always take care of their needs in the backyard, on a specific spot.
Because of his behavior, we now have to keep him outside most of the day, and since there's no other dog now, I'm afraid he's feeling lonely when I'm not around.
I thought about buying another dog, but my current pupper is a bit old, so I feel it may start a neverending cycle of one dog dying, and having to buy a new one to make sure the last one isn't lonely.
What to do?
>>2172583
Buy a new dog and keep the cycle going till you die.
Also yes they know their friend is dead and are lonely.
Pets do get depressed when a buddy of theirs dies. Leaving him outside by himself all day isn't going to help his behavior, in facts its a sad thing. Get him another dog to be around with and give him company. If you don't intend on keeping a cycle like you said then spend lots of time with it to not be lonely until he passes.
One of our dogs got excited when I mimicked a previous dog that had died, or might have been another person
I feel so shitty thinking about it now
The look of joy on that old girls face, speed walking around the corner with her ears up.
>dog's health took a nosedive over the last 24 hours
>tfw had to put my best friend to sleep today
I'm a fucking wreck right now, /an/
There is no equal feeling of emptiness to the death of a beloved pet.
I am sorry, Anon. Cherish the memories.
I'm sorry anon. My dog died in April and I cried for 2 weeks straight. I still miss her. Remember her fondly, its going to be a tough time.
>>2172524
I'm sorry for your loss, OP. Remember the good times. Memories will be there forever.
what the hell is this?
>>2172518
I call it photophobia
It's cute
Absolute hell
Does anyone know what kind of bug this is? They keep biting me and I'm finding them crawling near my bed
