Please help me. My hamster has wet tail. I have removed veggies from her diet and giving her water through a syringe. Do you think movong her to a warm dark place will help? What else can I do?
Just asking but is your hamster new? Id recommend getting some wet tail drops from the pet store or taking it to the vet
>>2264482
Yes I have bought her 2 weeks ago. There's no vet in my town that's why I resorted to asking here.
Alright so I found out that my room mate fed her a piece of orange. That might be the culprit. Can anyone help? I didn't find much about this on the internet. The hamster seems very disoriented and has trouble balancing. Also it responds very slowly to any kind of stimulus.
thoughts on cat declawing?

perfect cuddle buddy.

degenerate, kys
buy a scratching post for them
it's inhumane to remove their claws.
Are any of your pets "chipped" anon?
http://www.strawpoll.me/11663077
very important poll
>>2264374
Voted.
Yes. Wouldn't own any animal and not have it chipped within reason.
All of my pets are chipped. I don't see why you wouldn't chip your pets, if you give a shit about them.
no. my only pets are bugs, and they don't need chips
So I'm going on my first hunting trip this weekend and I don't know what to expect when (and if) I get my first kill.

You're seriously bringing up this topic on the animal rights board?! Get /out/
>>2264350
Last time I checked, this board is labeled as "Animals and Nature" not "Animal rights" and I'm pretty sure that hunting encompasses both animals and nature.

/an/ is pro-hunting
/an/ I'm scared. A coyote around my neighborhood has been killing pets and even those that are just left outside to do their business have been getting attacked. My house does have a fence in the backyard but it's only about 5 to 6 feet high with bars that have about 4 inch gaps (see op pic). I know a fence in the backyard like this isn't enough to keep the coyote out so every night my dog goes out I go out too and I make noise. Please /an/ what else can I do to make sure my dog is safe. Is there like a scent I can put around the perimeter that works? Is this something that warrants a call to animal control? Should I put my dog on a leash and actually stand by him while he does his business? I'm scared and I need some help here
How small is your dog?
>>2264240
Yer dog gon get ate
Sounds like the coyote is doing what a coyote does when he realizes there's a large unguarded population of docile prey in one area. He's not going to stop until he's killed or relocated to a place where he cannot return to your neighborhood.
Kill the coyote, trap it, or don't leave your dog unattended until someone else does.
this morning my mum told me that if my cat "attacks" someone again she will be put down
she's only four years old and very playful (meaning she will latch on and bite/scratch)
i have a baby brother who's been scratched before as a result of pulling her fur, but today she apparently attacked my mum whilst she was holding said brother and almost caused her to drop him into the fish pond
tl;dr/ my mum doesnt want to teach the baby to fucking stay away from her and she doesnt recognise cat body language apparently
please help me train her. any advice is more than welcome
please note: i cannot move out due to private issues and she refuses to take the cat to the RSPCA/cat shelter
>>2264202
Why can't you take it to the shelter if your mom can't?
>>2264202
Get a job and move out of your moms house faggot

I've been having a new obsession with Alpacas. It's like the best thing in the whole world for me. They're short and stubby >,> I guess new word of the day for Alpacas. They're as short as they can be. They can be as tall as 3ft , I'm 4'11 :O

I plan on getting Alpaca's when I'm older and have some land.

Why are some animals hermaphrodite, but others are not? Isn't being hermaphrodite better to assure your species will continue? Is there any advantage in being non-hermaphrodite?
>>2264024
the question should be: why is sexual reproduction better than asexual reproduction?
(I assume it's better because most things, at least on a macroscopic scale, reproduce sexually)
probably because more genetic variety

LGBT board slow today?
Evolution isn't decided by committee, it's a series of accidents that each just happen to work. The classic "survival of the fittest" model that Darwin proposed is just a small part of the big picture. All sorts of things happen in evolution.
One thing to consider is that it's more energetically expensive to maintain two sets of sex organs than it is to maintain one.
How do I force my sister's comedian to change color?
Does it know any good jokes?
Contrary to popular belief, apparently chameleons don't change color based on their surroundings, but in order to communicate and express 'emotion'.
inb4 some shitbird appears and declares that lizards can't feel emotion, I know, I just didn't know how else to phrase it.
It'll turn red if you heckle it.

It's pretty cold and wet out, what do?
Was thinking of going back with a bit of chicken feed.
For some reason I didn't have any chicken feed on me during my bike ride. "I can go ride without chicken feed this one time" I said.
I'd take a picture and post it on 4Chan.

Right?
When do Shiba Inus become calm sweethearts? Mine is only a year old and is a ton of work.
Yes, I knew what I was signing up for when I adopted her. She's a ton of fun to play with and love on. Just looking forward to the day when she becomes calmer.
there's tons of calm sweetheart dogs and you wanted a meme dog

I dont know if this goes here or on /sci/ but my son found this rock this weekend and it looked kinda odd (was really dirty). Whatever, i picked it up and cleaned it a bit and was pretty shocked.
It flakes like obsidian, does anyone know what this is?
